Abstract

The cover (1) for a wood crate is structured at the coupling zone between sections into an upper projection (4) and two lower sections (3). Speziell im Exportkistenbau kommt es vor, daß sehr große Kisten aus Fertigungs- oder Transportgründen gekuppelt werden müssen. Diese eigentlich unkritische Arbeit birgt im Falle des Deckels aber Probleme, da an seine Dichtigkeit hohe Anforderungen zu stellen sind. Werden Exportgüter beim Kistenhersteller verpackt, ist es noch möglich übergroße wasserdichte Deckel zu erzeugen. Müssen die vorgefertigten Kisten allerdings zum Hersteller der Ware transportiert werden, bleibt nichts anders übrig, als einen mehrteiligen Deckel stumpf zu stoßen (Fig. 1). Ein solcher Deckel bleibt undicht. Man muß das Exportgut vor eindringendem Wasser besonders schützen, oder den Deckel von oben mit einer zusätzlichen Wassersperre versehen und komplett neu verschalen.Especially in export crate construction it happens that very large crates have to be coupled for manufacturing or transport reasons. Obergurt und Untergurte laufen quer zur Deckelbeleistung (2) über die ganze Deckelausdehnung. Die Untergurte werden auf der Deckelbeleistung genau an der Stoßkante befestigt. Die wasserdichte Zwischenlage (5) verläuft nun zwischen Beleistung und Deckelverschalung, aber oberhalb der Untergurte. Zwischen Untergurt und Deckelverschalung befindet sich eine Knickschutzspalte (6) zum Schutz der Zwischenlage. Während auf der einen Seite (A) die Zwischenlage ebenfalls am Stoß endet, läuft die Zwischenlage auf der anderen Seite (B)bis zum Ende des Obergurtes, der mit dem Untergurt und der Beleistung verbunden wird. Durch diese Technik entsteht bei der Montage auf dem Untergurt der Seite A eine Überlappung der Zwischenlagen (Fig. 3). Die Zwischenlagen können in diesem Bereich miteinander verklebt werden. Eine so erzeugte Flächenkupplung dichtet aus zwei Gründen: Zum einen entsteht im Bereich der Kupplung eine Treppenstufe, so daß es dem auf der Zwischenlage befindlichen Wasser erschwert wird, die eigentliche Deckelstoßkante zu erreichen. Zum anderen erzeugt die Bauweise der Kupplung auf ihrer ganzen Länge einen Formschluß, der zur Erhöhung der Dichtigkeit auch noch verklebt werden kann.It is an object of the invention to provide a waterproof surface coupling.
