Abstract

The packing box consists of a bottom ( 1 ), a pair of side walls ( 2 , 3 ) on the long side, a pair of side walls ( 4 , 5 ) on the transverse side and a cover ( 6 ).

The base ( 1 ) has a base plate ( 7 ) which is attached to longitudinal slats ( 8 ) of a pallet ( 9 ). The longitudinal slats ( 8 ) are attached to cross slats ( 10 ) of the pallet ( 9 ). The longitudinal slats ( 8 ) protrude beyond the transverse edges ( 11 ) of the base plate ( 7 ). The base plate ( 7 ) protrudes with its longitudinal edges ( 12 ) over the longitudinal slats ( 8 ), so that between the edges ( 12 ) and the crossbars ( 10 ) there are receiving spaces ( 13 ) for the base strip described in more detail below.

Guide strips ( 22 ) are arranged on the side edges ( 21 ) of the walls ( 4 , 5 ) and are dimensioned in accordance with the intermediate space ( 19 ).

A bottom bar ( 23 ) is provided on each of the walls ( 2 , 3 ). Their dimensions correspond to the receiving space ( 13 ). There is a distance between the bottom strips ( 23 ) and the lower ends of the stop strips ( 18 ) and the stop webs ( 20 ) which is at least as large as the thickness of the bottom plate ( 7 ). Longitudinal strips ( 24 ) stiffen the walls ( 2 , 3 ).

On the cover ( 6 ) webs ( 25 ) are arranged which form stops against displacement of the cover ( 6 ) placed on the walls ( 2 to 5 ).

All parts described are made of wood. The last or webs are glued to the wall in question and / or nailed and / or stapled.

For transport or storage of the empty packaging box, the walls ( 2 to 5 ) and the lid ( 6 ) are placed flat on the base plate ( 7 ). The packaging box takes up only a small volume, the base area being no larger than that of the pallet ( 9 ).

The bottom bar ( 23 ) or the wall ( 2 or 3 ) is initially still movable in the longitudinal direction (L). This displaceability is eliminated in that the outer stop strips ( 17 ) are extended at their lower ends ( 14 ) to the bottom strip ( 23 ) and abut on the transverse edges ( 11 ). The walls ( 4 , 5 ) are thus held in a form-fitting manner between the walls ( 2 , 3 ) in the horizontal longitudinal direction (L) and in the horizontal transverse direction (Q).

The walls ( 4 , 5 ) stand with their lower edges next to the transverse edges ( 11 ) on the longitudinal battens ( 8 ). This also means that the connected walls ( 4 to 5 ) cannot move in the longitudinal direction (L) relative to the base plate ( 7 ). In the transverse direction (Q), the walls ( 2 , 3 ) abutting the longitudinal edges ( 12 ) prevent the possibility of displacement.
