Dieser Apparat bezweckt hauptsächlich, alle im Bottichbier befindlichen, während der Hauptgärung ausgeschiedenen geschmackverschlechternden Stoffe, hauptsächlich Hopfenharze, während des Schläuchens auszuscheiden, so daß nur solches Bier in die Lagerfässer gelangt, welches von den genannten Stoffen vollständig frei ist.
