Zusatz zum Patente 170108 vom 12. April 1903.Addendum to patent 170108 of April 12, 1903.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 10. Februar 1904 ab. Längste Dauer: 11. April 1918.Patented in the German Empire on February 10, 1904. Longest duration: April 11, 1918.
The main patent protects the technically valuable invention which is based on based on the knowledge that with the help of alkaline earths it is possible to produce the anthraquinone-a-disulfonic acids (1 · 5- and 1 · 8-) to be converted into the corresponding oxyanthraquinones without that the splitting of the anthraquinone molecule that occurs when using caustic alkalis takes place. As was further set out in the main patent, this method differs from the one pursued with it Purpose essentially different from that of patent specification 106505, according to which the application the alkaline earths to fuse anthraquinone-ß-sulfonic acids only for the purpose of avoidance the formation of higher hydroxylated anthraquinone derivatives, which easily takes place when these products are merged will.
It has now been further found that the process protected by the main patent in two phases proceeding by the fusion of the anthraquinone-α-sulfonic acids with alkaline earths initially the ι «5- or 1x8-oxyanthraquinone sulfonic acids arise, and that the reaction can easily be retained at this intermediate stage, so that the new valuable oxysulfonic acids obtained in a technically advantageous manner can be.
These two new oxyanthraquinone sulfonic acids can be easily purified and made excellent Gain yield if milder reaction conditions are used in the process of the main patent applies or interrupts the process at the appropriate moment and accordingly, for example, at lower temperatures works and in any case interrupts the reaction before or when the appearance of dioxyanthraquinones begins.
Das Verfahren wird durch folgendes Beispiel erläutert:The procedure is illustrated by the following example:
Die abgeschiedene Oxysulfosäure wird in heißem Wasser gelöst, durch Filtrieren von etwa vorhandenem Anthrarufin getrennt und die Lösung mit Koch-50 kg of anthraquinone-1 · 5-disulfosaures sodium are heated with 25 kg of quick lime and water in a 1 iooo agitator autoclave at 140 to 150 0th From time to time samples are taken and examined for their content of unchanged disulfonic acid and for the possible presence of anthrarufin. As soon as the latter is detectable or as soon as significant amounts of unchanged disulfonic acid can no longer be detected, the melt is interrupted. They are acidified in the heat, the ι · 5-oxysulphonic acid separating out for the most part and being separated from the mother liquor by filtration (the latter usually only contains small amounts of oxysulphonic acid, which can be obtained by salting out). The separated oxysulfonic acid is dissolved in hot water, any anthrarufin present is filtered off and the solution is washed with boiling water.
Salt out the salt. The sodium salt of ι · 5 - oxyanthraquinone sulfonic acid crystallizes here in yellow needles. These dissolve rather difficultly in cold, more easily in hot water with yellow color. Soda, ammonia or caustic soda turns the color orange. The sodium salt is in excess Sodium hydroxide solution is sparingly soluble. The solution in concentrated sulfuric acid is orange-yellow and boric acid does not noticeably changed. Unheated wool is dyed in pure yellow shades in an acid bath.
The 1x8-oxyanthraquinone sulfonic acid is produced in a completely analogous manner from the anthraquinone · 8-disulfonic acid. Your properties are very similar to that of 1 × 5 - oxysulfonic acid. The sodium salt is somewhat soluble in cold water, slightly soluble in hot water. It dissolves in alkalis Orange-red, excess sodium precipitates the neutral sodium salt. The ■ Solution in concentrated sulfuric acid is red-yellow. These new oxyanthraquinone sulfonic acids form valuable starting products for the representation of dyes.
