Der Aufkleber kann dabei entweder mit einer dauerklebenden Beschichtung versehen sein oder vorteilhafterweise ein sog. "post-it"-Aufkleber mit einem ablösbaren und wieder verwendbaren Kleberstreifen sein, der rechts oder links, d. h. in Durchlaufrichtung des Briefes durch eine Postverteilanlage vorlaufend, am Aufkleber angeordnet ist. Ein solcher Aufkleber, der nach Art einer Fahne vom Brief weg steht, löst eine noch weitergehende Aufmerksamkeit beim Empfänger aus als ein vollflächig auf das Kuvert aufgeklebter Aufkleber.
