The invention relates to a watertight soil gas collection system, its segmentation
it allows, even with vertical arrangement in defined depths / horizons of the floor
Obtain gas samples directly - i.e. without adsorber - for analysis in the laboratory. And this
in boreholes with small diameters (e.g. 22 mm ⌀) and in groundwater.
In ihnen
gebung in definierter Weise korrespondieren bzw. - im Gleichgewicht sind (vgl. GORETEX®-Trägerschlauch

Siemens AG (KWU), Erlangen, in ENVTEC - Verfahrenstechnik 29/1995 Nr. 6, Seiten 14
dens erlauben. The invention uses already gas-permeable gas

and 18). That means: With a corresponding service life, "natural" floor gas is created
in the gas collecting hose, which can be sampled directly and not just qualitative
but also quantitative determinations of the gas composition of the surrounding Bo

So far, these gas collecting hoses have only been used continuously. H. without segmentia

gas ratios either through the installation of adsorbent granules containing chap

this change remains limited to the inside cross section of the gas collecting hose.
The situation is different with a vertical gas collecting hose. Run there

The invention is intended to make soil gases more water-tight by means of gas permeable
Collect gas collection hoses horizontally and also with vertical arrangement
to sample directly (without adsorber), and this over many years in one and the same
ben plant can be repeated.
The task of horizon-related gas collection

is solved according to the invention by the following variants: either (variant A) by means of
a central tube that crosses the stopper attached to it and in which
a gas sampling tube is moved close to the segments, or (variant

by means of several gas withdrawals running outside the gas collecting hose
lines, each of which is connected to a specific segment, or (variant
D) after pulling out the segmented gas collecting hose by sucking off the Bo
dengases from the individual gas collection segments.
The advantages of the invention lie in the vertical segmentation

A suitable gas permeable, waterproof and rigid gas collecting hose with z. B.

gas-tight sealed sole of the gas-permeable gas collecting hose introduced. He
is open at the bottom and has extensions (gas access
chambers) of about 1 cm in length, the inside diameter of the original 2 mm
increase to about 3 mm at this point. Through the central tube is a gas sampling tube
with an outer diameter of 2 mm, which fits tightly and freely
is slidable. This gas sampling tube has an inside diameter of
1 mm and is closed at the foot. There is one above the foot
certain distance (long enough to ensure tightness between the inner wall of the central tube

provided with an opening through which the bottom gas from the gas collection segment ge
can be sucked when in the gas access chamber belonging to the central
tube is positioned. The gas sampling tube can also have several openings for
Gas sampling, which are then positioned so that only one of them with one
single opening or gas access chamber of the central tube in a specific gas collection segment
is connected (see drawing 1). At the top is the gas sampling tube
closed during the gas collection process. For gas extraction

Variant B (drawing 2) solves the problem of gas sampling in that
each gas collection segment has a separate gas extraction line
leads. For this purpose, this gas-tight traverses all above the relevant gas collection segment
stopper. With alternative C (drawing 3)
the gas sampling lines run outside of the gas collecting hose towards theirs
Gas collection segments. With variant D (without drawing) the segmented
Gas collecting hose brought to the surface and then the bottom gas from the individual
Aspirated gas collection segments, either via short gas extraction lines (such as
in drawing 3, however shortened) or via one on each gas collection segment
built septum by cannula or by drilling the gas collection segment by cannula
(with subsequent sealing) happens.
For all of the variants outlined above, the gas extraction lines during the
Gas collection process are closed at the top and only for the purpose of soil gas extraction
connected with suitable devices and then opened.
