Am Fufsende der Wanne ist der Heizkessel H angelöthet. In diesem Heizkessel befindet sich der Ofen O, der ringsum und oben vom Wasser umspült wird. The boiler H is soldered to the foot of the tub. In this boiler there is the oven O, which is surrounded by water all around and above.

Durch das Zuflufsrohr Z tritt das Wasser aus der Wasserleitung in den Heizkessel. Ist das Wasser in der Wanne bis zu einer innerhalb anzubringenden Marke gestiegen, so wird die Wasserleitung abgestellt und das Ventil V geöffnet durch Anziehen des Ringes R und Einhaken desselben in den Knopf K. Um aber bei noch fortbrennendem Feuer eine Ueberhitzung des Heizwassers und ein dadurch herbeigeführtes nachträgliches Einströmen desselben in das Badewasser zu verhüten, ist an dem Zuflufsrohr B oberhalb des Saugtrichters S das Löschrohr L angebracht, durch welches bei geöffneter Klappe G das heifse Wasser in das Feuerungsrohr F geführt wird und dann das Feuer löscht. Die Wasserstandsmarke in der Badewanne und die Mündung des Löschrohres L in das Feuerungsrohr wird so eingerichtet, dafs nur ein geringes Quantum Wasser überfliefsen und in den Ofen gelangen kann. Sollte dennoch infolge unvorsichtiger Badebedienung eine gröfsere Menge Wasser übersteigen, so findet dasselbe Platz in dem geräumigen wasserdichten Aschenkasten A.
