Anordnung und Lagerung des Liifterge-

ti
gelagert, so entstehen gewisse Schwierigkeiten infolge
i C)
der gegenseitigen Schwingungen und Versohränkungen. Es
. Z 1. i

housing for axial fans, in particular
in motor vehicles

The innovation concerns the design of the fan housing and the elastic mounting of an air duct ringes in Lt. Lftfij. hru. ngsgehau. se. With the increase in performance
The aim of motor vehicle engines is to use the axial fan with as high a degree of efficiency as possible and to bring all of the air captured by the axial fan through the cooler. Air duct housings are used here, which are flush with the cooler and in which the axial fan should run with as little play as possible. The gap between the fan and air duct, respectively. The fan housing should be kept as narrow as possible in order to achieve a higher fan efficiency. However, are cooler and engine, respectively. the lifter permanently connected to the motor is disconnected stored, certain difficulties arise as a result

the mutual vibrations and sinkings. It

is not possible in this case, a sufficiently small one

Another option, the air duct housing with

Using a flexible design to subdivide, being

can be, allows maintaining the narrowest possible gap, but has the disadvantage that retensioning and replacing the V-belts is extremely difficult and the maintenance and installation of the system cause difficulties. The present innovation is based on the initial position. ng

to keep the gap size within acceptable limits, even with separate units, and at the same time to create possibilities to ensure the installation and replacement of the V-belts for the fan drive. In the case of the present innovation, the fan housing is firmly connected to the radiator and is mounted differently from the engine. On the engine, the fan is in a known manner ter drive with fan attached. Around the gap as possible

To keep small, it is proposed according to the innovation, in the air guide housing a special air guide ring, which lies in the plane of the radial fan, very soft to store. The innovation is shown in the drawing

In the drawing, A denotes the axial fan, B is the fan housing that is connected to the cooler K. The distance between the outer edge of the fan and the fan housing B is limited by a special air guide ring C, which is kept so large that the fan A cannot come to a stop due to normal vibrations during operation. This air guiding ring 0 is mounted in a soft rubber cushion D running around it. This rubber pad D seals the fan housing B so that no harmful secondary air can flow in and the efficiency of the fan ters can reduce. If there are larger deviations

above the normal vibrations and displacements of the motor with respect to the cooler and the air duct housing and the air duct ring C, the fan will indeed strike the fan ring in this case. As a result of the flexibility, however, no damage can occur here. When changing the V-belts, which have to be removed over the fan and cannot get through the gap with a normal gap, there is the option of moving the air guide ring C in the soft rubber mounting D on one side with the new version, which creates a larger gap and losing weight respectively. Repositioning of the V-belt is possible without removing the air duct system.
Schutzansprüche:The rubber pad between the air guide ring C and the fan housing cushions
also the ventilation noise, which is normally the sheet metal parts and guide parts
to stir up vibrations. Protection claims:
