Bekannte Wellendiohtungen sind aus elastischem Werkstoff, insbesondere
Gummi, hergestellt. Sie weisen vielfach an ihrem Außenttmfang,

abzudichtenden Maschinenteils an. icr Haftteil dieser Dichtungen muß relativ breit sein, um einen festen Sitz der Dichtung zu gewährleisten.
F.B ist jedoch nicht immer nöglich, diesen Raum vor
Kugellagern o.dgl. im Maschinenteil zu schaffen, so -daß VIt derartige

Haftteil mit seinem Innendurchmesser auf einem Bund o.dgl. des
abzudichtenden Maschinenteils aufgezogen ist. Daher genügt es, den Bund abzudrehen. Ob der Haftteil der Dichtung einen inneren
Versteifungsring oder außen ein Metallgehäuse hat, ist fflr die
Neuerung bedeutungslos. Vorteilhaf terweiee ist ciie Innenkante des Haftteils und/oder die Vorderkante des Bundes abgeschrägt,
damit man die Dichtung leichter auf den Band aufziehen kann, ohne daß der Haftteil beschädigt wird. The innovation extends the possibility of using these known shaft seals.
