Denn es ist gerade im Tauchschleifveriahren Voraussetzung für eine einwandfreie Bearbeitung der Werkstücke, daß die Schleifkörner des unter Druckwirkung der Zentrifugalkraft der Trommel stehenden Schleif- und Poliermittels sich ständig untereinander verschieben und unter dem Druck der Zentrifugalkraft mit ihren aus der aus dem Gleitmittel und dem Füllstoff bestehenden Masse hinausragenden scharfen Spitzen oder Kanten entlang der Ober - Fläche der Werkstücke bewegen. Gegenseitiges Verschieben der Schleiftörner ist aber für den Fall ausgeschlossen, daß sich die Schleif- und Poliermasse erhärtet bzw. sich Klumpen bilden. Erhärten oder Klumpen der Masse wird aber insbesondere im Tauchschleifverfahren infolge der relativ großen Zentrifugalkraft, unter der das Mittel steht, begünstigt. Wie die Praxis gelehrt hat, genügt das bisher als FUllstOff verwendete jägemehl insofern seiner Aufgabe nicht, als es sich vorzeitig zu kleinsten Bestandteilen an der Wandung der Trommel zerreibt und dadurch seine Aktivität verliert. In Erkenntnis dieses dem bisherigen Füllstof£ anhaftenden Nachteils hat man bereits vorgcschlagen, den nach Entfernen der Maiskörner verbleibenden, zerkleinerten Teil von Maiskolben als Füllstoff zu verwenden.
