Fatentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 8. Juni 1881 ab.Fatentirt in the German Empire from June 8, 1881.
The present innovation relates to the window arrangement and construction for shed roofs for ventilating the work rooms and tight covering of the joints.
Ι of the accompanying drawing shows a vertical section GH in Fig. 2,
Fig. 2 Ansicht des Fensters von aufsen.Fig. 2 view of the window from the outside.
Figure 3 is a section along AB through the upper part of the frame.
Fig. 4 is a section along CD through the pivot point of the window.
Fig. 5 is a section along EF through the lower part of the window frame.
Fig. 6 shows schematically the cord arrangement by means of which the window can be rotated about its axis MM.
It denotes α the horizontal parts of the steep wall of the shed roof, a x the rafters, a % the stems, b the roof ribs, which serve to support and fasten the glass panes c; the hooks d attached in different ways prevent the glass panes from sliding down. The angle iron e corresponding to the width of the window frame serves as a lower stop for the window, while the upper stop is formed by the angle iron g , which forms the upper part of the window respectively. the joints of which protect against the ingress of snow, rain and dust. The two angles h and H 1 form the lower side stop of the window; g and h resp. A 1 are riveted to the roof ribs by angle iron ^ 1 and in the middle through the. Plates i connected, which preserve the necessary lateral clearance for the window when it is opened and closed. In order to be able to completely close off the gap created by the latter, a peculiar connection of angle iron with the window frame k is used, Fig. 5. It consists of the two angle irons m and n, which because m are riveted to k and with the other leg on the upper edge of h and h x rests, and further that η on the one hand riveted to m , on the other hand rests on b and so by h resp. h l reaches around, form a completely dust, snow and rainproof seal of the joints. The springs f and f 1 riveted to g are intended on the one hand to exert pressure on the lower part of the window and on the other hand to render the leaks at the pivot points M harmless. / Are windows ribs are t inside of g riveted brass plates which give demFenster right when Reasoning leadership. At the top and bottom of the window there are eyelets for attaching a cord, which, crossed over rollers r, Fig. 6, allow the window to be opened and closed easily. By correctly attaching the pivot axis of the window, the window will open gently at the bottom, thereby avoiding breakage of the glass panes. The window can be held in any position by tightening the cord.
