Bei der hydraulischen Oelpresse für trapezähnliche Kuchen, welche den Gegenstand des Patentes No. 14990 bildet, sind die Preiskasten nur in verticaler Richtung beweglich. Mit diesem Umstände ist der Nachtheil verbunden, dafs das Füllen und Entleeren nur beim Stillstande der Presse möglich und also mit einem Zeitverluste verknüpft ist. Dieselben bestehen je aus einem kräftigen schmiedeisernen Ringe H, in welchem zwei gufseiserne Segmente JJ befestigt sind. Die innere freie Fläche dieses Segmentes bildet je die innere Längsseite des eigentlichen Kastens, in welchem sich die Saat befindet, und ist unten mit einem nasenähnlichen Vorsprung versehen, auf welchem der bezw. Seiherboden K des Kastens lose aufliegt. Beim Hochgehen der Presse drückt jeder Stempel den über ihm befindlichen Seiherboden in die Höhe und bewirkt hierdurch das Auspressen der Saat. Zu jedem Stempel gehören, wie gesagt, zwei Prefskasten, von denen der eine nach der einen, der andere nach der entgegengesetzten Seite der Presse, beide in ihren Bahnen gleitend, ausziehbar sind. Geeignete Anschläge sichern die genaue Einstellung über den Stempel, andere an den Bahnen befindliche die horizontale Hubbegrenzung nach aufsen.
