Description

Hubbalkenof en Die Erfindung betrifft einen Hubbalkenofen für die Wärmebehandlung metallischen Gutes, der aus abwechselnd nebeneinander angeordneten Hub- und Festbalken besteht. Um die Beweglichkeit der Hubbalken gegenüber den Festbalken zu ge- währleisten, ist es erforderlich, zwischen den angrenzenden Balken genügend Spiel vorzusehen. Dadurch ergibt sich jeweils ein über die gesamte Ofenlänge sich erstreckender Spalt, der bis zur Unterkante des Hub- bzw. Festbalkens reicht. Ein solcher Spalt aber wirft für gonstruktion und Betrieb eines Hubbalkenofens verschiedene Probleme auf. So muß einmal;;:für eine-wirkungsvolle Abdichtung des Ofenraumes gegenüber dem Raum unterhalb des Herdes Sorge getragen werden,*was noch mit vergleichsweise einfachen Mitteln möglich ist. Üblicherweise benutzt man dazu Sandtassen, in die unter den Hub- und Festbalken an- geordnete Bleche eintauchen. Weitaus schwerwiegender jedoch ist die Tatsache, daß der Spalt ein verhältnismäßig kalter Raum ist, in den hinein das auf den Hub- und Festbalken aufliegende Gut Wärme abstrählt, Die Folge ist, daß das Gut oberhalb eines solchen Spaltes eine Ab- kühlung erfährt, so daß von einer allseitig gleichmäßigen Erwäruiung, wie sie angestrebt und beispielsweise für einen anschließenden Walz- vorgang unerläßlich ist, keine Rede mehr sein kann. Man hat bereits die seitliche-Begrenzung von Hub- und Festbalken so gestaltet, daß sich im unteren oder auch im mittleren Bereich des Spaltes Teile benachbarter Balken überdeckten. Eine-Reduzierung der erwähnten Wärmeabstrahlung in größerem Ausmaße wurde durch diese Maßnahmen jedoch nicht erreicht. Dies liegt daran, daß von der Oberkante der Hub- und Festbalken her in dem Spalt ein außerordentlich starkes Wärmegefälle vorhanden ist, so daß schon in geringer Spalttiefe eine Temperatur gemessen werden kann, die um einige hundert Grad unter der Ofentemperatur-liegt.Walking beam ovens The invention relates to a walking beam furnace for heat treatment metallic good consisting of alternately arranged side by side There is a lifting and fixed beam.
