Die bei zu starkem Biegemoment hervorgerufene ovale ίο Verformung der zylindrischen Bohrung wird auch auf den Außenring des Kugellagers übertragen, so daß je nach dem Verformungsgrad mehr oder weniger starke Kugellagergeräusche auftreten können. Wie das Momentendiagramm rechts von F i g. 2 zeigt, hat das Biegemoment m bei elastischer Lagerkappe
einen wesentlich geringeren Wert als das Biegemoment M bei unelastischer Lagerkappe, wie durch gestrichelt
gezeichnete Linien zu ersehen ist. Durch die erfindungsgemäße Maßnahme können daher die Kugellagergeräusche
und damit der Ausfall praktisch beseitigt werden. Ferner ergeben sich fertigungstechnische Vorteile, da
