The known welding apparatus of this type have Soliweiß guns with a "handle" which is generally used in guns and which is arranged at an approximately right angle to the "barrel" of the gun, the welding wire being fed to the welding point through the gun barrel. This type of welding gun shows a lack of simplicity, maneuverability and ease of control, unlike the welding torch, for autogenous welding. . The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a die-cut arc welding apparatus which does not have the above-mentioned problems, and this object is achieved in particular in that. dap the Schwelß.-pietole the shape of a well-known, long-geotreokten outer welding torch with an ear-shaped housing of. in the waGemtli-.öhen has a constant diameter, in which the required? clockung # 99 * drive and part of the control means for the welding wire and the media are arranged . -. It is useful to make the housing of the welding gun out of plastic and / or to enclose it with an insulating cover. Otherwise, the reue welding gun does not have a straight barrel up to the Schv (eißntollo, but is provided with a neck-like extension like an autogenous welding torch An essential feature of the invention can also be seen in the fact that in the neck-like extension of the welding gun an air cooling chamber and a gas intake chamber are provided, with concentric openings within these chambers for guiding the welding wire to the welding point In addition, the welding nozzle should be designed in such a way that around the contact tip of the welding wire there is a space enclosed by a sheath for a protective gas fed in by the welding gun eisspistole through a tubular guide consisting of two parts, which has a gap in which rollers for moving the welding wire are arranged. One of these rollers is driven via a worm gear from a motor arranged in the gun, which is actuated by a pressurized fluid, e.g. air, supplied to the gun from the supply. The other, non-driven military roller can be adjusted in relation to the harvesting roller in order to regulate the contact pressure against the welding wire. Further advantageous measures for the design of the invention can be seen from the following description of an exemplary embodiment, of which a feed line to the welding gun is to be emphasized, which is designed in such a way that its hollow interior of the feed serves to actuate the in the gun arranged drive motor serving pressure medium. and its outer wall is used to supply the current required for heating the welding droplet. It should also be pointed out that the ont-. tense exhaust air is supplied to a cooling chamber provided inside the gun and is discharged into the open from this at an angle to the gun's axis so that the welder is not bothered by it whenever even harmful welding gasses are driven off drawing is shown an embodiment of Dess erfindungr @ -According formed liehtbQgen welding apparatus, Figure 1 shows a perspektivioehe Aneicht the arc $ Qhweißapparatea_;..... F # 2 increases a longitudinal section through a welding torch, partially in section, as in diesara Apperat Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the welding torch, partly in section; Fig. 4 shows an enlarged longitudinal section through the entire welding torch, with certain parts being shown in elevation and others in section; Cross-section essentially along the line 5-5 in Pig. 2 and Fig. 6 a partial section, essentially along the line 6- & in Pig. 2. The one in Fig. 1 apparatus shown comprises mainly a welding torch A -for a manual operation by the `.Schweißer on the workpiece. The burner is operatively connected to a remote supply and control device B, which can be part of a welding machine. The welding gun according to the invention differs in its shape and shape from the usual conventional welding guns, in which the handle is approximately at right angles. is arranged to the barrel of the pistolet. The welding gun according to the invention is essentially identical to the type and characteristics of the welding torch, as used in autogenous welding. It has a long housing 14 of substantially tubular shape, which is preferably made of phenolic plastic or other suitable material for forming a. insulating sheath is made and in which the feed elements for the welding electrode of the apparatus are arranged. The housing consists essentially of an elongated body part 11, which forms an approximately cylindrical handle which can be gripped by the welder and used to bring the burner into the various working positions forms a neck-like extension 12, which is bent from the axis of the straight body part and is connected at her.husseren end to a welding mouthpiece 13 which, with its longitudinal axis, forms an angle to the axis of the straight body part 1'1. As can be seen from Fig. 4 , the outer end of the neck-like extension 12 is provided with a cylindrical insert 14 which has a cell-like head part 13, which is formed in the interior so that it forms a cooling chamber 16 and a gas intake duct 17, these chambers being partitioned off by an inner partition 18. The insert is made of a suitable material and the head end is connected to the neck end in any wine. The head end is filled by a punch 19, which has a concentric tubular shape. Has opening 20 through which the electrode welding wire rait dera can be guided forward one end to an axially protruding Yontakt tip 21, which has an axial bore 22 which forms a continuation of the opening 20. Dar: itemhel 13 has a thread a: af on the outside to a .mit internal thread. Coupling end 23 of the PIundstückes 13 take up. A tubular extension piece 24 is firmly connected to the coupling end 23, which forms the: .tan @ a @ its; itze with The gas is led through a series of cans 26 which are arranged around the opening 20 of the punch and which are in connection with the gas intake chamber 17. The space 25 can thus lead an inert path to the weld seam! In order to create a shielded atmosphere. Gas is fed to the chamber 1 through a newspaper 27 which extends through the housing and which ends opposite the end of the neck-like extension 12, where it is connected to a corresponding fitting is provided (fig. 2) .. The opening 20 is in connection with a guide tube for the metal welding wire, which also consists of associated shafts 29a and 29b, with the latter part in a line fitting -30 on the opposite one Side of the housing a 10 ends .. In the raw Part 29b is attached to the line fitting 30 with an electrode welding wire 31 (3tig. 1) and from there through the part 29a: The wire is moved by cooperating rollers 32 and 33, which are arranged in a gap 34 between the borderline n inner ends of the tube parts 29a and 29b, with the welding wire between passes through these rolls. Tine of these roles, in this case the role 32 # is not driven, while the other role 33 is a partially # bare zoom roller formed dead * - As can be seen from Fig. 3 and 5, the idler roller 33. from the extreme end of a swinging bracket 35 carried, which is rotatably mounted on a bolt 36. At its free end is the console 35 with an extension 3? provided, through which an adjusting screw 38 extends, the inner earth in screw connection with entern fixed lug 39 on a part of the drive described below. The outer end of the screw 38 extends through a. Opening 40 in the housing so that it can be actuated from the outside. A compression spring 41 which is carried by the vision hood and one end of which rests against the screw head, while the other end rests against the extension 3? presses, causes the adjustment of the screw to change the pressure that is exerted on the welding wire electrode . As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the driven roller 32 is arranged on one end of a shaft 42 which is supported in corresponding bearings 43 - 43 in a bearing housing 44 which is arranged at one end of the drive motor housing 45. The motor is of a type designed to be operated by a pressurized fluid, such as air or gas , and has a heating axis which is parallel to the length of the straight body portion 11 of the housing . The motor has a drive shaft 46; is arranged on a worm 47 engaged with a worm wheel 48 in engagement, which is supported by the full 42 between the bearings 43-43. On the opposite side of the motor housing 45 , an end cap 49 is provided, in which an inlet line 50 for the fluid actuating the motor is arranged, the outer end of the. Newspaper is connected to a fitting 51 , which serves both as a newspaper for the fluid running out of the motor and for the electrical energy to be fed to the welding wire electrode when this is near the drill opening to the contact hole 21. occurs. The inner edge of the inlet line 50 is connected to one end of the channel 52, the other end of this channel is connected to a transversely erotrekkonden channel 53, the inner end of which is closed by a body 54 and. whose outer, open end is versehlonsen by an adjustable threaded plug 55. A device is provided which enables the welder to change the open position of the valve element 58 and thus to regulate the plus of the fluid to the motor,. in order to change its speed and thus the speed of the welding wire electrode to Werkattic.k. This device is completed in that a 19 part of the valve device is provided with a pin 61 which protrudes through the body wall 54 from the housing, where it cooperates with a valve control lever 62 which extends along the outer longitudinal side of the gun housing next to the straight body part @ 11 extends: 'This lever is rotatably attached to a pin 63 at its inner end. .
Has circumferentially sealed piston 57 and at the other end at a distance therefrom a circumferentially sealed valve element 58. The valve element 5s can be moved from a position normally closed by a compression spring 59 into a variable open position in relation to the connection opening between the channel 52 and the channel 53. As shown in Fig. 4, the valve element 58 moves between an intake passage 52 and an exhaust passage 60 which leads to the power development mechanism of the engine. A further feature of the invention is a device by which the PluD @ of the fluid through the Auslaßka.nül 60 to the motor can be adjusted to a predetermined value by means of a needle valve 64, which is held by an adjusting screw 65, which is extends through a corresponding opening 66 of the housing and through which the valve can be adjusted as desired in a known manner.
The fluid emerging from the rotor flows through an outlet line 67 to the cooling chamber 16 on the head part 15 of the mezzanine. From this chamber the medium goes through an outlet line 68 to an outlet opening 69, from which it emerges as a jet in a direction as indicated by arrow 70 (Pig of the burner housing. The direction of the exiting beam is such that it guides away the welding fumes which are formed on the mouthpiece 13 during welding, so that the welder does not need to breathe these fumes, which in many cases contain both health-damaging and the performance of the welding operation disruptive components . With this arrangement, the exit fluid from the drive means serves not only as a coolant for the end of the welding gun near the welding point, but also as a means for evacuating the welding fumes from the welder's face.

The one in Pig. The remote control device B shown in FIG. 1 may or may not contain part of an associated welding machine. Above all, it has a housing 11 for various control instruments which are provided with appropriate means (not shown) for a regulated supply of compressed air. A conventional filter and pressure regulator are also provided in conjunction with a source of an inert gas, such as argon, for making welds on certain types of metal. The device shown also includes a rotatably arranged roller 72 for the required electrode welding wire, which, after it has been unwound, passes through a wire guide 73 and is moved through a corresponding line to the line fitting of the welding gun. . The electrical energy is supplied to the device from a source (not shown) which is provided with electrical conductors 74. This power source is electrically connected to the Seh.weißpistole A at the point where the current is fed to the Sehweißdra.ht in its push-pull movement. The electrical welding energy is here. fed through a tubular conduit 75, which serves the dual purpose of supplying the current both to the fluid, such as air, for the actuation of the wire feed means and through a conductive sheath made of copper, aluminum or other suitable material, and thus an electrical time path for the supply of the electrode wire forms. The tubular conduit can also be used as a cooler for the air that is fed to the welding gun. Alternatively, a cooler 76 can also be provided for pre-cooling the engine drive fluid. At its end, the line 75 is connected to the fitting 51 .. As also. shown in Fig. 1, the inert gas, which is used to Abeehirme the welding arc, the welding gun A through a corresponding line.77 is supplied-which is arranged between the remote control device and the end fitting 28 :, for carrying out the required A transformer 78 is provided for regulating functions on the remote regulating device H in order to reduce the voltage to a regulating voltage of 24 volts. . The A @@ 9; a.ng derx transformer is controlled by an electromagnetic control relay 79 with the energy circuits of the solenoid valve £ 30 to regulate the air supply for the newspaper 75 and :. the solenoid valve 81 for regulating the gas to the line 77 is connected. . It is La --- c ', z cinc Einriehtiing fär di :: IZe @ elunt; des Stcu @@ rr e1 @: is 79 in front of Sc: v.eißbrenner A out provided. For this purpose, as shown in FIG. 4, a micro-switch 82 is arranged in some manner in the housing of the white set, which lies in the position of the pin 33 and is in contact with the valve control lever 62. The micro switch has a t * ";. Tig.n,"; sj "lif @ d ü3, which is in contact with a cam part 84 '; @aelcites on the rotatable end of the valve control lever. The side of the cam 84, which interacts with the actuating member 83, is so auo-c forms that the I, iikrosch ", l-ter unmijtelbür the energy circuit of the relay 79 before the actuation of the valve 58 to Loginn Coiner opening @. Position closes. The errajung of the relay 79 closes its contacts and closes the valves 80 and 81, in order to conduct broken air and uas @u <. The return occurs when the valve 58 is in its closed position brought v; ird, the IKikroseimlter open immediately after the closing of the valve 58 and co interrupt the Strcmkyeiw of the relay 79, so that ea opens its contacts and the 'Solenoidve: itile 80 and 81 de-energized: iac'rLt. In this way Valves 58 and 81 are operated similarly, and when the flow of newspaper 75 is interrupted at both its source end and gun end, there is no residual pressure applied to it after the valves are closed, so-so-will-a Subsequent drive of the post-cichioberid Draritea excluded. The side in which the valve 58 is open can be regulated by the valve control plane 62 in order to change the plus of the fluid "Lsa" through the motor, whereby the Seiiviei @ # ior the aig? .If given iohkeit which Zh: einzustallen chsohubgesehwindigkcit of @r "1z res and it bef; 4.igt, the Stromrluß as ge - 'to vary ,; Iiisoht when this horse with a OclivreißsybteLi is koiiiiti-.nter voltage used . In addition to the speed adjustment control, the needle valve 64 can be adjusted to set the desired maximum flow rate for the wire guide. Controlling the flow of the motor fluid at the source and at the welding gun in such a way that they are mutually dependent results in a similar manner the best mode of work to avoid excessive advancement of the welding electrode, however, by forming valve 80 as a three-way valve which in its closed position connects conduit 75 to a vent or exhaust conduit, the same purpose is possible Such an arrangement can also produce excellent operation when coupled with the similar operation of valve 58. The wiring of the micro switch is connected as shown at 85 from a flexible cable to the control coil of relay 79. From the above description k can be concluded that it is advantageous to use the features of the invention characterized in that the body of the welding gun realizes the features described and brings about the corresponding advantages when performing a welding operation. Various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention, and therefore the invention should not be limited to the illustrated embodiment except to the scope as characterized in the claims.
