Verfahren zur Herstellung von kaltgeformten, kalibriertenProcess for the production of cold-formed, calibrated
Drähten durch WalzenWires by rolling
The invention relates to a method of manufacture of cold-formed, calibrated wires through rolling, whereby the wire is mechanically descaled and lubricated.
Dabei handelt es sich also nicht so sehr um das Schmieren desjiiS has been such a method known, see for example, German Patent 4902, wherein a double v c uerscnnittsänderung for the purpose of Abspregung of the oxide layer takes place of the wire to be drawn. So that the oxide layer that has been blown off can be removed more easily, ia soapy water is used to rinse off the oxide that has been blown off the wire between two pairs of lumps. So it's not so much about lubricating the

Wire, but merely a matter of removing the blasted oxide layer, but soapy water shows known to have a certain lubricating effect. In this known case, however, the soapy water is used steered onto the wire during descaling.
In! '' All of a wire, however, this shows the serious disadvantage that the wire then as a result the formation of the surface layer by the lubricant is difficult to weld, so that so far it was always necessary not to do any surface work before welding to remove.
The invention is based on the object of a wire to create that is on the one hand completely pure, but on the other hand also has a very good shelf life and still weld very well leaves.
Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe durch die Erfindung besteht bei einem Verfahren der eingangs erwähnten Art darin, daß zunächst das mechanische -entzundern vorgenommenThis object is achieved by the invention In a method of the type mentioned at the outset, the mechanical descaling is carried out first

As a result, surprisingly to the person skilled in the art, without any additional effort achieved that the disadvantageous surface layer of the wire, which previously the good weldability did not allow, is not formed. Presumably this is due to that after the wire has been lubricated, it is calibrated to the final diameter, thereby removing the lubricant as a result of the reduction in cross section by the roller pairs is apparently so widely distributed that the known disadvantageous surface layer does not exist due to the lubricant, but the lubricant works still as a rust preventive. The wire treated according to the invention thus shows despite the Lubrication with a known soluble oil does not have the disadvantage of poor weldability. The wire according to the invention is therefore particularly suitable for the production of welded wire nets or wire mesh. It has been found that the welding of the invention Wire required amount of electrical energy is much less than that for welding of wires produced by known methods

notwendige Energie, wobei sich nur eine sehr geringe Streuung der mechanischen Eigenschaften der öchweißpunkte bei Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen hergestellten Drähte ergibt.necessary energy, whereby there is only a very small scatter in the mechanical properties of the welding points when using the wires produced according to the invention results.
Further advantages and details of the invention emerge from the description of an exemplary embodiment which now follows with reference to the drawing, in the single figure of which the method according to the invention is shown schematically is illustrated.
A non-descaled wire rod coming from a wire reel 2 initially runs over the rollers 3? e.g. two such reels, which have a mechanical juitzunderers' device represent, through which the wire a first bend in an X-X direction and a second bend in a Y-Y direction perpendicular to this direction is given. This creates the scale layer in all Directions of the wire broken.
The wire is then fed directly into a roller mill, which consists of at least two pairs of rollers 4 and 5 in relation to one another right-angled arrangement and that works in the usual way, introduced. According to the invention these rollers are lubricated on the entry side of the rolling mill by an abundant jet of soluble ul.

The wire 1a leaving the rolling mill is very shiny. On its surface there is only a very thin one Layer of soluble oil present. However, this layer does not have a detrimental effect on the formation of the weld spots because the soluble UI used is generally volatile and from the start of heating of the wire under the welding rollers evaporated. As a result, the wire produced can be considered perfectly clean are designated.
This surprising result is obtained because the very thin layer of scale dust which the wire, when it leaves the lumps 3 of the descaling device, surrounds, through which at the same time the lubrication of the Rolls 4 and 5 effect jet 6 of soluble Ul is washed off.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the thin layer of soluble µl which dries on the wire after it leaves the rolling mill protects it against rapid oxidation and therefore enables the wire to be kept in a clean state for a few days in storage if it is is not used directly for the production of welded wire nets or grids.
Ferner ist es möglich, den Draht mittels der Hollen 4-It is also possible to cut the wire by means of the cones 4-

und 5 mit einer Geschwindigkeit zu walzen, die so hoch ist, wie sie die Maschine zuläßt, und damit eine maximale Leistung unter gleichzeitiger Verbesserung der mechanischen Eigenschaften des Drahtes zu erzielen.and roll 5 at a speed that high is how it allows the machine, and thus maximum performance while improving the to achieve mechanical properties of the wire.
As an example, it should be mentioned that a wire 1 of particularly soft Thomas steel quality with a diameter of 7} 5 mm and a tensile strength in the order of magnitude from 4-0 kg / mm a wire 1a with a diameter of 6 mm and a tensile strength of the order of magnitude 6ü to 70 kg / mm is obtained.
