Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren, um auf der Rundstrickmaschine Ringelwaare mit farbigen Längsstreifen ohne Anwendung eines besonderen Plattirfadens zu erzeugen. Während man nämlich Ringelmuster durch das bekannte Verarbeiten mehrerer Fäden von verschiedener Farbe nach einander in der Weise erzeugt, dafs jeder Faden eine ganze Maschenreihe oder mehrere ganze Maschenreihen bildet, so besteht das Neue des vorliegenden Verfahrens .darin, dafs man den Faden einer dieser Quermaschenreihen in den Bereich der nächstfolgend benachbarten Querreihe hinüberzieht, so dafs die einzelnen Farbringel von einer anderen Farbe durchsetzt erscheinen.
