Description
Method and apparatus for producing bulked yarn with Limited Elasticity The invention relates to methods and apparatus for the production of a bulky yarn with limited elasticity.
A method for producing a yarn is known in which the individual threads at their crossing points by means of a suitable treatment with one another be connected or fused in order to prevent the threads from sliding on one another.
In contrast, there is the problem to be solved with the present invention Task is to create bulky yarn with limited elasticity which the threads are connected or fused to one another at the crossing points are.
. This object is achieved according to the invention in that a crimped thread bundle in a flattened state is passed through a binding station and at this binding station a binding agent is applied to the threads along at least one strip which is narrower than the width of the flattened yarn, - the crimps becoming extend laterally from the strip, whereupon the threads thus connected are pinned to form a bulky yarn. .
In contrast to the known yarn, in the method according to the invention, the threads are connected to one another or fused at the crossing points only on one or more narrow strips extending along the yarn. There is no binding at the thread crossing points on the side of the strip. This has the advantage that the elasticity of the yarn is limited in the area of the strip in which the threads are connected to one another, whereas the non-bonded threads lying next to the strip or strips create bulkiness and softness cannot be obtained if the threads are connected or fused to one another at all crossing points. Thus, by the method according to the invention, good dimensional stability is obtained in the area of the strip or the strip, without the bulkiness and softness of the yarn being reduced. According to a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the binding station is a heating station in which the Threads are heated and because of their 'thermoplasticity they adhere to each other or stick to each other at points of intersection.' G 'emäß another preferred embodiment of the method of - the invention is applied for a binder to the threads :, in the binding station a #Strahl. The device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized by a roller which guides the yarn through a binding station, a device which flattens the yarn on the roller and spreads the threads on the roller and a device which 'Transfers' heat to the yarn along a strip or applies a binder in strip form. Preferably, the binding member may include a Gewebesireifen, overlying the roller located on the yarn, and having a heating wire above the, Geweb.estreifen is disposed and through the heat to the fabric strip in a narrow zone - can be transmitted.
According to a preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, d.ie binding station on a heated cylinder. which has one or more annular flanges in contact with the yarn along one or more strips.
After T 1 to 3 , the yarn 10, which has previously been crimped, is unwound from a bobbin 11 and passed through a tensioning device 12, guide rollers 13 and a heated tube 14 in which the yarn is relaxed to restore the curl, as indicated at 15 : . If the yarn has not been stored on a bobbin or the like for a sufficient period of time in order to temporarily fix it in the stretched state, the relaxation stage can be omitted. It has been found, however, that a yarn consisting of a polyamide which has been crimped, fixed in a compression crimper and wound onto a bobbin or a suitcase under straightening tension, the crimp is restored by relaxation under heat.
The crimped yarn is then fed onto the roller 21, which can consist of silicone rubber. The roller 21 is driven at such a speed that the yarn or the threads remain tension-free after exiting the heating tube 14 and are sandwiched between a fabric strip22 made of glass threads and a covering23 made of heat-resistant material with a low coefficient of friction (e.g. made of polytetrafluoroethylene) and the roller 21 is flattened and spread out. A. Wire 24, which is electrically heated via lines 26, extends over the fabric 22 and is held in contact therewith by a weight 25. In this way, the fabric 21 and the covering 23 allow the yarn to pass through. to a 1, ängsstreden in the center on the roller 21 warmed Thereby, -. the yarns to their T <reuzungss-tellen along a strip 27, as is illustrated in F i g -8 connected..

The method according to the invention is particularly useful in terms of therinoplastic Material can be used, but can also be used in such companies, those under the.
