Die Weitenverstellung der Schlaufe wurde dadurch erreicht, daß die Schlaufe mit Löchern versehen war, von denen jeweils zwei zur Deckung gebracht werden können, um eine Schraube aufzunehmen, die durch eine Mutter gegen Herausfallen aus den Löchern gesichert werden kann. Für eine Weitenverstellung der Schlaufe und damit auch des gesamten Spannhebelverschlusses mußte die Schraube gelöst werden, um sie mit einem anderen Lochpaar in Eingriff bringen zu können.
