Die Befestigungsvorrichtung besteht aus der Vereinigung eines Bügels 1, der in das Butzenloch gesteckt wird (Fig. 1 und 3), oder dessen Schenkel durch die Löcher des Knopfes (Fig. 2 und 4) und dessen spitze Schenkel durch das Zeug oder das Kleidungsstück, an dem der Knopf befestigt werden soll, gesteckt werden, und ferner einer über die Schenkelenden gesteckten und mit für dieselben bestimmten Löchern 2 versehenen Scheibe 3, über welche die Schenkelenden gegen einander gebogen und neben einander gelegt werden (Fig. ι und 6), sowie einem über die Scheibe geschobenen Deckel oder einer Bedeckung 5, die dazu dient, die Schenkelenden festzuhalten und zu schützen. Die Scheibe hat eine von dem Bügel und dem Zeuge abgewendete Rinne 4, in der die umgebogenen Schenkelenden Platz finden, wie durch die punktirten Linien der Fig. 6 angedeutet ist. Sobald die Schenkelenden in der angedeuteten Weise umgebogen sind, ist der Knopf an dem Zeug oder Kleidungsstück befestigt. Um die Zurückbiegung der Schenkelenden und das dadurch bedingte etwaige Zerreiisen des naheliegenden Kleidungsstückes oder andere Unannehmlichkeiten oder das Ausziehen der Schenkelenden aus der Scheibe 3 zu verhüten, wird auf die Scheibe der Deckel 5 geschoben (Fig. 1,2, 3, 5 und 7). Derselbe besteht vorzugsweise aus einem etwas convexen Blechstück mit umgebogenen Rändern, wodurch Nuthen 6 entstehen, die die Ränder 7 der Scheibe 3 umschliefsen, wenn der Deckel darauf geschoben wird (Fig. 3). Der Deckel ist auf der Scheibe 3 in solcher Weise festgehalten, dafs er nicht von selbst abgleitet. Die Fläche, mit welcher die Scheibe 3 gegen das Zeug anliegt, ist, wie aus dem Gesagten hervorgeht, eine sehr groise und giebt dadurch dem Knopf einen so sicheren Halt, dafs derselbe nicht aus dem Zeug herausgerissen werden kann oder abreifst.
