Description
Transverse drive surface, in particular lift surface for aircraft, with slots, transverse drive surfaces, in particular aircraft lift surfaces, like wings and tail units, are often provided with slots. Such slots extend in the spanwise direction and are z. B. when arranging slats or flaps formed. The slots lead from the pressure side of the transverse drive surface to the suction side, so z. B. from the underside of the wing to the upper side of the wing or else to the trailing edge of the wing. The slots should not be used in high-speed flight, but only at certain flight positions, if the angle of attack exceeds a certain value, be aerodynamically effective. About disruptive influences of the slots during high-speed flight To avoid it, special facilities have already been provided for in this case cover the slots. For this purpose, one arranges at the inflow openings of the slots the underside of the wing and, if necessary, also at the outflow openings on the upper side of the wing Flaps, slides or the like. Adjustable devices for optional closing and open the slots. Such movable closure devices have but the disadvantage that special actuating devices are always required for this and that the installation of the necessary rods etc. in the wing is usually difficult prepares. This makes the construction of the grand piano more complicated, not to mention that all movable links in turn allow the possibility of occurrence of disturbances.
The invention is based on the object of avoiding these disadvantages and to create a closure for slots in transverse drive surfaces that does not have any requires complicated fixtures. The device is intended for all types of slots, which lead from the pressure side to the suction side or to the trailing edge of the wing, equally be useful, be it that the slots through slats or other profile openings are formed. The aim is achieved according to the invention in that the on the Inflow openings of the slots lying on the pressure side at least over part of their covered in the spanwise extension by a perforated surface are, the openings of which reveal a cross section that is larger in area than the Cross-section of the associated outflow openings of the slots. Advantageously the outside of the perforated cover surface complements the profile of the transverse drive surface or the wing. If necessary, however, the outside of the cover surface can also be arched in relation to the profile course.
The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. The transverse drive surface in FIG . 1 selected a wing 1 , which is shown in cross section. A slat 2 forms a slot 3 whose inflow opening 4 is on the underside of the wing and whose outflow opening 5 is on the upper side of the wing. The slot 3 therefore leads from the pressure side to the suction side. The inflow opening 4 of the slot is covered by a surface 6 which complements the wing profile on its outside. The cover surface 6 itself is provided with a perforation which is selected so that its free cross section is larger than the cross section of the associated outlet opening 5 of the slot 3. At the rear edge of the cover surface 6 there are special holes 13 to allow water that has penetrated to drain admit. A further slot 7 is arranged in the wing 1 , the inflow opening 8 of which is again on the underside of the wing and the outflow opening 9 of which is on the upper side of the wing. This slot is also covered on the underside by a perforated surface, which is designated here with 6 ' . Finally, a slot 10 is also shown, which leads from an inflow opening 11 on the underside of the wing to an outflow opening 12 on the trailing edge of the wing. A perforated cover surface 6 ″ is provided to cover the inflow opening 11. As mentioned, the cover surfaces 6, 6 # and 6 ″ complement the wing profile and act practically like closed surfaces or flaps in high-speed flight. Only at larger angles of attack does a flow through the cover surface take place, so that the slots then become effective and enable a flow from the pressure side to the suction side or to the trailing edge of the wing. In addition, it should be mentioned that the inflow openings of the slots on the underside of the wing do not need to be covered over their entire extent in the spanwise direction, but that it is also possible to cover them only partially. Likewise, only one or the other slot can be covered in the manner described, so that, for. B. only the slot 3 is covered and the entire slot 7 # 'remains open at its inflow opening.
In Fig. 2 is a design option for the cover surface 6 is shown schematically. Here, a honeycomb-like design is selected for the cover surface, in which the individual honeycombs 14 are clearly recognizable. Such a cover surface essentially has a rectifying effect at the inflow opening.
Another embodiment of the cover surface is shown in FIG . 3 shown. It is assumed here that the surface 6 has a sufficient thickness. The openings 15 of the perforation here have a cross-section which narrows in the form of a nozzle and which is produced by a suitable bore.
B. Tiefziehen, leicht herstellen.Another possibility for the formation of the perforation is shown in FIG. 4. This is a thin surface 6. The edges 17 of the perforation holes 16 are bent inwards, so that a cross-section of the perforation opening that narrows inwards like a nozzle is achieved again. Such perforation holes can also be made using suitable manufacturing processes, e.g. B. Deep drawing, easy to manufacture.
Advantageously, there are also means on the perforated cover surfaces intended to prevent ice accumulation. These funds can be used by anyone be known training and z. B. consist in that the cover surface is heated or chemically prepared on its surface.
A further improvement in the flow through the slot ( FIG. 5) is achieved by narrow webs which are arranged at the lateral ends of the slots on the underside of the wing and which extend in the direction of flight. Such a web, which can consist of a simple sheet metal strip, is shown in FIG. 5 is shown at 18 . Its length essentially corresponds to the width of the slot inflow opening4. The upper limit of the web depends on the course of the wing profile or on the course of the surface of the perforated cover. The arrangement of such webs is not limited to the outermost lateral end of the slot, but such webs can also be provided elsewhere within the span. With inclined flow, z. B. when the sash is sliding, these webs act like fences and force a better flow through the perforated cover surface and thus the slot at this point.
The invention is suitable for all types of surfaces that generate transverse drive, such as wings or tail units, and makes its structure much simpler than for surfaces that have to use special flaps with actuating devices in order to eliminate the disruptive effects caused by open slots in high-speed flight. By suitable choice of the axial direction for the perforation holes in the cover surface, depending on the requirements, the slot effect can occur in the desired predetermined ranges of the angle of attack.
