Bisher wurden nur die bei der Gewinnung der Cocosbutter verbleibenden Rückstände der Copra als Beimengung zu Viehfutter verwendet. Der aufserordentlich geringe Fettgehalt dieser Rückstände konnte eine verbessernde Wirkung auf den Fettgehalt der Milch nicht haben, welcher von einer Milchkuh zu erzielen ist. Dagegen haben Versuche ergeben, dafs die Verabreichung von Copra den Fettgehalt der Milch um ein ganz Beträchtliches und in bisher unerreichter Weise erhöht.
