Description
Multi-speed transmission hub for bicycles and motorcycles The invention refers to a multi-speed transmission hub for bicycles and motorcycles with an epicyclic gear, with non-displaceable trained in one plane Gears and a driver in which a coupling sleeve or the like in the driver. Arranged longitudinally displaceable and with the driver through a coupling toothing is connected, the coupling bushes with the planetary gear carrier or with the ring gear can be coupled.
It is a multi-speed transmission hub with two epicyclic gears and two ratchet locks known for the output, in which the sun gear of an epicyclic gear is designed to be axially displaceable. With this axially displaceable sun gear Parts of the epicyclic gear coupled with one another. It is also possible the sun gear by coupling with a part firmly connected to the hub axle to hold on. The disadvantages of this design are the large amount of space required the use of two epicyclic gears and the multitude of gear wheels for these two planetary gears. A hub designed in this way becomes very large, very heavy and expensive and does not allow the installation of a brake. A disadvantage is also that by moving the sun gears a precise coordination of the switching elements and the wheels to be coupled to each other is required. This construction principle thus has serious disadvantages such that it is suitable for use in a three-speed transmission hub practically ruled out these days.
A two-speed hub is also known, in which one can also be displaced arranged sun gear is used. The sun gear is optionally available with a part fixed on the axle or with the ring gear attached to the sprocket of the planetary gear connected. In the first case, the connection is used to hold on of the sun gear, in the second case the entire planetary gear is through the connection of the sun gear blocked with the ring gear. The sliding sun gear is therefore used only to create different drive ratios in the gearbox.
The prior art also includes a three-speed hub with an epicyclic gear and two ratchet drives, in which the drive is from the driver to the planetary gear takes place via a coupling sleeve. The drive from the coupling sleeve to the planetary gear takes place via driver arms of the coupling sleeve, in one case on the axles the planet gears are in contact and in this way take the planet carrier with them. In the other case, the entrainment carriages engage in corresponding recesses in the ring gear and drive it through. This formation of the connection between the coupling sleeve and planetary gears have significant disadvantages. The number and arrangement of the Planet gears are determined by the number of driver arms on the coupling sleeve. It is therefore not possible to use three planet gears with four driver arms. It is also not possible to use the planet gears with a different pitch angle to be arranged against each other. The contact surfaces for the power transmission from the coupling sleeve on the planetary gear carrier or on the ring gear are very small, as only a few arms available. Therefore, in order to avoid excessive wear, these parts must have a large overlap. The large overlap, however, requires greater switching travel and thus a larger overall width of the hubs and the switching device. The disadvantage the large overall width is reinforced by the fact that the coupling claws for connecting the coupling sleeve with the planetary gear carrier arranged laterally on the planetary gear carrier are and thus increase the switching device by the width of the clutch claws. Another disadvantage is that the driver arms of the coupling sleeve in the space between the planetary gear axles and within the recess of the ring gear a large one Have play in the circumferential direction. This game is particularly affecting after braking or after idling when the drive is reinstalled as an annoying empty passage the pedals off.
The object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the known constructions to avoid and to create a multi-speed transmission hub that works with smaller outer dimensions and thus with lower manufacturing costs than previously usual has a great operational safety.
According to the invention this object is achieved in that the coupling sleeve at the end facing away from the driver with one or more coupling teeth is provided. The planetary gear is connected to the coupling sleeve via this toothing and thus connected to the driver. The connection between the coupling sleeve and Planetary gear transmission through a toothing allows any arrangement the planetary gears and results in lower surface pressure due to the larger contact surface and thus less wear. Nevertheless, the toothing compared to the known Driver arms are kept very narrow. Between the coupling sleeve and the with their coupled parts of the planetary gear is not a dead gear in the circumferential direction available. So it becomes the annoying emptying of the pedals when changing from Avoided braking or idling position in the drive position. The ring gear and the planetary gear carrier are equipped with corresponding coupling teeth, such as the coupling sleeve, Mistake. It is advantageous if the coupling teeth on the planet carrier lies within the circle on which the planetary gear axles are arranged and the The coupling teeth do not protrude beyond the planetary gear carrier in the axial direction. The overall width of the switching device is further reduced considerably, and to be sure, by the width of the coupling claws present in the known constructions. It is also beneficial to move the thrust block through which the coupling sleeve is to be arranged within the teeth of the coupling sleeve, through which the Connection to the driver is established. This makes it possible on the one hand to use the Part of the coupling sleeve facing away from the driver with a very small outer diameter train and thereby significantly reduce the diameter of the entire hub. On the other hand, there is so much inside the driver-side end of the coupling sleeve Space available so that the accommodation of the thrust block here no difficulties prepares. The coupling teeth are formed on the planetary gear carrier and on the ring gear equal to, the result is a particularly useful construction, since then on the Coupling sleeve only one toothing is required.

The driver 2 and thus the coupling sleeve 3, which is longitudinally displaceable in it, is driven via the toothed ring 1. The coupling sleeve 3 is guided with coupling cams or any toothing 4 in the coupling toothing 5 of the driver 2 and executes the rotary movement of the driver 2 in each case. At the other end, the coupling sleeve 3 also has coupling cams or a toothing 6 which engages in a corresponding counter-toothing 7 of a drive plate 8. The drive plate 8 forms a unit with the planetary gear carrier 9. When driving, since all parts are coupled, the planetary gear carrier 9 has the same speed as the ring gear 1. In the planetary gear carrier 9, which can be multiple or one-piece, firmly connected or plugged together, the planetary gears 11 are mounted on bolts 10. These roll on the fixed sun gear 12 of the axle 13 and give the ring gear 14 a high-speed drive. A pawl carrier 15 is coupled to the ring gear 14 in a longitudinally displaceable manner, the pawls 16 of which (see FIG. 4) engage in the toothing 17 of the bearing shell 18. The hub sleeve 19, which is firmly connected to it, is driven via the bearing shell 18.
F i g. 2 zeigt die Nabe im drekten Gang (Normalgang).F i g. 2 shows the hub in third gear (normal gear).
By pulling out the pull rod 20, the coupling sleeve 3 is released from the toothing 7 and brought into engagement with the coupling toothing 21 of the ring gear 14. The drive is now again via the ring gear 1, the driver 2 via the coupling teeth 4 and 5 to the coupling sleeve 3. From this it is forwarded via the coupling teeth 6 and 21 to the ring gear 14 and thus to the pawl carrier 15 with its pawls 16 , to the bearing shell 18 and the hub shell 19.
Fig. 3 zeigt die Nabe im Berggang.Fig. 3 shows the hub in the mountain pass.
F i g. 5.) By further pulling out the pull rod 20 into the end position, the pawl carrier 15 is shifted over the flat side of the coupling toothing 6 with the aid of any switching disk 22. The pawls (F i s g 5...) 16 are brought out of engagement with the bearing shell toothing 17 and passed through the bearing shell bore 24 and is prevented from engaging the drive is effected as in the other courses: From the ring gear 1 via the impeller 2 to the , Coupling sleeve 3, via the coupling teeth 6 and 21 onto the ring gear 14.
The ring gear 14 drives via the planet wheels 11 which roll on the sun gear 12, the planet-carrier. 9 On this pawls are arranged, which engage in a toothing 25 of the hub sleeve 19 and drive it.
Normalgangstellung gebracht. When the switching device is switched back, all laterally displaced parts are returned to the starting position by the two compression springs 26 and 27 , i. H. brought into the overdrive position or normal gear position.
The subject matter of the invention is not tied to the exemplary embodiment described. For example, by omitting the drive locking mechanism on the drive side, in the exemplary embodiment of the pawl carrier 15, a two-speed gear with a direct transmission and a reduced gear can be created.
From the drawings and the description it can be seen that the Construction is very simple, the hub can be manufactured cheaply and one essential ] I have a smaller diameter than any relevant known constructions.
