Bei dem Bewegen der Verschlußeinrichtung in die Offenstellung liegt der die Absperrplatten tragende Ring am Gehäuse an. Beim Bewegen in die Schließstellung tritt infolge der Hebelanordnungen an der Spindel ein Anliegen auch der Absperrplatten am Gehäuse ein, so daß eine zusätzliche Reibung vorhanden ist. Um diese Spreizwirkung nicht vorzeitig, d. h. bereits beim Zufahren der Absperrplatten 1, 2 eintreten zu lassen, ist zwischen der Schieberspindel 8 und den Absperrplatten 1, 2 eine Feder 22 eingesetzt. Diese Feder 22 stützt sich gegen die Absperrplatten 1, 2 und einen Bund 23 an der Spindel 8 ab. Ihre Spannkraft wird erst dann überwunden, wenn sich in der Schließstellung der Absperrplatten 1, 2 die Tragringfläche 17 a gegen den Gehäuseanschlag 17 b stützt. Es hat sich als besonders vorteilhaft herausgestellt, die Feder 22 durch eine Säule aus Tellerfedern zu bilden.
