Es ist nun herausgefunden worden, daß diese Arbeitsprozesse auch rein maschinell vorhanden sein müssen, um zu einem befriedigenden Ergebnis bezüglich Reinheit und Schonung der mit bekannten Waschmaschinen gewaschenen Wäsche zu gelangen. Erfindungsgemäß sind hierzu zwei besondere Verfahrensstufen erforderlich. Im ersten Waschprozeß muß eine starke Seifenlauge auf die Wäsche einwirken, wobei man in die Waschzone nur so viel Wasser zum Waschpulver gibt, daß ein Badstand von etwas weniger als die Hälfte des normal üblichen Badstandes in der Waschzone erreicht wird. Erst dann, d. h., im zweiten Waschprozeß wird bei ununterbrochen fortgesetzter Toroidalbewegung des Rührstößels zusätzliches Wasser in, die Waschzone eingeleitet, bis die Waschlauge auf ihren normalen Badstand gebracht ist. Erfindungsgemäß wird also nach der neuen Verfahrensvorschrift die Wäsche zunächst in einer starken Seifenlauge durchgewalkt, d. h., schamponiert, und dabei die in der Wäsche enthaltene Schmutzschicht aufgeweicht. Erst wenn das Seifenlaugenkonzentrat die Schmutzschicht gründlich durchzogen und aufgelöst hat, erfolgt das weitere Waschen der Wäsche bei einem Laugenstand, der nun dem normalen Badstand entspricht, wodurch also eine wesentliche Verdünnung der Seifenlauge herbeigeführt wird. Wesentlich ist hierbei nun, daß die von der starken Waschlösung bei niedrigem Badstand aufgeweichte Schmutzschicht nicht einfach von der verdünnten Waschlauge fortgespült wird. Ein solcher Zustand wird durch die dauernd aufrecht erhaltene Toroidalbewegung verhindert. Viehmehr dringt beim nachfolgenden Waschen in der verdünnten Seifenlauge diese noch weiter in die Schmutzschicht hinein und gelangt schließlich an die Fasern der Wäsche.
