Description
DEUTSCHES
Die vorliegende Erfindung beschreibt einen elektrischen Isolator, der aus mehreren oxydischen und/oder mineralischen
Komponenten zusammengesetzt ist. Es ist bekannt, für elektrische Isolatoren oxydische und/oder
mineralische Komponenten zu verwenden.
Es gehört zum Stand der Technik, daß man dem TiOa,
kristallisiert als Rutil, zur Verbesserung der Temperatureigenschaften seiner Dielektrizitätskonstante eine gewisse
Menge Zirkondioxyd hinzusetzen kann. Diese Zugabe kann sogar über das Molverhältnis 50 % ZrO2: 50 % TiO2
hinausgehen. Normalerweise findet beim Brennen solcher Gemische eine Mischkristallbildung statt, wobei das ZrO2
unter Aufweitung des Rutilgitters aufgenommen wird. Beim Molverhältnis ZrO2: TiO2 = 1:1 soll sogar unter
Einwirkung von Mineralisatoren eine Verbindung Zirkontitanat TiO2 · ZrO2 entstehen.
Zur weiteren Verringerung des negativen Temperaturkoeffizienten ist die Zugabe von MgO, ZnO, CdO zum
Zweistoff system TiO2 — ZrO2 bekannt. Die dabei entstehenden
Dreistoffsysteme haben, außer dem System MgO—-TiO2 — ZrO2, den Vorteil, mit ansteigendem
Anteil der zweitwertigen Oxyde bei niedrigeren Temperaturen dicht zu sintern.
Fernerhin kann auch bis zu einem gewissen Anteil das Zirkondioxyd durch SnO2 oder ThO2 ausgetauscht
werden, um einen geringen Temperaturkoeffizienten der Dielektrizitätskonstante zu erhalten.
Da bekanntlich im System ZrO2 — TiO2 mit steigendem
ZrO2-Gehalt die Brenntemperaturen über das technisch
wirtschaftliche Maß ansteigen, werden zu ihrer Erniedrigung Flußmittel, wie Erdalkalifluoride oder Ton
und/oder Bentonit, hinzugegeben, wobei die beiden letzteren Flußmittel den Vorzug haben, den aus den
oben angegebenen Oxyden bestehenden Massen eine gewisse Plastizität zu geben. Auch die Verwendung von
BaO als Flußmittel ist bekannt.
Bei eingehenden Versuchen mit dem System TiO2—ZrO2
wurde nun in völlig überraschender Weise gefunden, daß die Zugabe von Bariumfeldspat (BaO · Al2O3 · 2 SiO2),
auch Celsian genannt, gute Ergebnisse hinsichtlich der Höhe des Temperaturkoeffizienten der Dielektrizitätskonstante
als auch ihrer Geradlinigkeit über einen großen Temperaturbereich zeitigte.
Das daraufhin näher untersuchte zusammengesetzte Dreistoffsystem Celsian-Titandioxyd-Zirkondioxyd führte
zur Herstellung guter und leicht reproduzierbarer dielektrischer Massen. Dabei wird durch den Austausch
von Titandioxyd im System TiO2 — ZrO2 gegen Celsian
der Temperaturkoeffizient der Dielektrizitätskonstante in positivere Richtung verschoben.
Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die Erzielung niedrigerer Brenntemperaturen dieser Massen, die bei etwa 130O0C
liegen. Ein anderer bestimmender Faktor sind die in diesem System niedrigen Verlustwinkel, deren Höhe

unter 1 · 10~3 liegen. Es ist ebenfalls nicht notwendig,
den Celsian in vorgebildeter Form zuzusetzen, sondern es genügt, Ton und BaO oder BaCO3 oder eine andere
Verbindung, die nach dem Glühen BaO ergibt, in dasjenige Verhältnis zu bringen, das der Zusammensetzung
des Celsians entspricht. Dabei erfüllen Schwankungen um 0,1 Mol noch die vorgenannten Bedingungen.
Für die Größe der Änderung des Temperaturkoeffizienten der Dielektrizitätskonstante seien folgende
Beispiele in Gewichtsprozent zur Veranschaulichung genannt:

Erfindungsgemäß sind die in den Grenzen
Celsian 1 bis 10 Molprozent
Zirkondioxyd 20 bis 65 Molprozent
Titandioxyd 35 bis 80 Molprozent
liegenden Massen hervorragend für elektrische Zwecke, z. B. als Kondensatordielektrikum, geeignet. Es ist dabei
möglich, 1 bis 15 Gewichtsprozent SnO2 oder MgO im
Austausch gegen ZrO2 oder TiO2 einzuführen.
Zur Steuerung der Kristallitgröße im Scherben wird vorgeschlagen, dem Versatz Oxyde wie CdO, ZnO,
Bi2O3, B2O3, MnO2, WO3 u. a. in Höhe von 1 bis 4 Gewichtsprozent
hinzuzufügen.
Zur Veranschaulichung der Massezusammensetzung dient ein Diagramm. Die Prozentangaben in diesem
Diagramm sind Molprozent.
Claims (4)
1. Elektrischer Isolator aus einer keramisch zu verarbeitenden Masse auf der Basis von Titandioxyd,
Zirkondioxyd sowie Erdalkalioxyden und Ton, da-

durch gekennzeichnet, daß er aus 1 bis 10 Molprozent
Celsian, 20 bis 65 Molprozent ZrO2 und 35 bis 80 Molprozent TiO2 besteht.
2. Elektrischer Isolator nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine etwaige Verschiebung des
Molverhältnisses der Oxyde des Celsians die Grenzen BaO -0,9 Al2O3-1,8 SiO2bis BaO · 1,1 Al2O3 · 2,2SiO2
nicht übersteigt.
3. Elektrischer Isolator nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß 1 bis 15 Gewichtsprozent
ZrO2 oder TiO2 gegen MgO oder SnO2 ausgetauscht
werden können.
4. Elektrischer Isolator nach Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zur Steuerung der
Kristallitgröße Oxyde wie CdO, ZnO, Bi2O3, B2O3,
MnO2, WO3 u. a. in Höhe von 1 bis 4 Gewichtsprozent
hinzugefügt werden.
