Der zwischen der Laufschiene A und Contactschiene C freibleibende Schlitz ist durch Klappen E geschlossen, die an der Laufschiene angelenkt sind und durch Federn E1 gegen den unteren Rand des Contaclschienenkopfes gedrückt werden. Eine am "Wagen angeordnete Feder G2 hält den Contactarm stets hoch, um einen guten Contact zwischen den Rollen G1 und den Schienen D D zu erzielen. Eine Mutter Gs dient zur festen Verbindung des freien äufseren Endes des Contactarmes G mit dem unteren Ende einer vom Wagen nach unten herausragenden Stange H, durch welche auch die leitende Verbindung zwischen dem Contactarm und dem Motor hergestellt wird. Am Contactwagen sind ferner Rollen J auf waagrechten, zu den Schienen rechtwinklig stehenden Achsen gelagert, die auf der Oberseite der Klappen E laufen. Die Rollen J sind gleichmäfsig am Contactarm vertheilt, und wenn deren mehrere an einem Contactwagen verwendet werden, liegen ihre tiefsten Punkte um so tiefer, je näher die Rolle dem Contactarm steht.The current collector consists of a carriage F which, by means of rollers F 1, runs on top of the running rail A and the U-rail C in a known manner and carries a contact arm G, which is guided vertically in the carriage, but is isolated from the latter.
