Verfahren zur Herstellung von Dialkylphosphinsäurechloriden Dialkylphosphinsäurechloride
folgender allgemeiner Formel
Process for the preparation of dialkylphosphinic acid chlorides Dialkylphosphinic acid chlorides of the following general formula in which R1 and R2 are preferably lower alkyl radicals are known from the literature. The compounds mentioned are obtained by chlorinating the corresponding dialkylphosphinic acids or their esters. However, the preparation of the dialkylphosphinic acids and dialkylphosphinic acid esters required as intermediates is laborious and not very economical. It has now been found that dialkylphosphinic acid chlorides are formed easily and in good yields even when bis (dialliylthionophosphine) with sulfuryl chloride in a molar ratio of about 1: 3 or when the bis (dialkylthionophosphines) under mild conditions with the theoretical amount of chlorine or Sulfuryl chloride obtained dialkylthionophosphinic acid chlorides are reacted with sulfuryl chloride in a molar ratio of about 1: 1. The following scheme may illustrate this reaction: The aforementioned dialkylthionophosphinic acid chlorides can be prepared from the bis (dialkylthionophosphines) known in the literature by acting on the calculated amount of sulfuryl chloride: You can now, as stated above, the reactions I and II also summarize, with the same. desired phosphinic acid chlorides arise. The smooth feasibility of the reactions recorded in II and III is particularly surprising and could not be foreseen from other reactions.
zugänglichen Dialkylphosphinsäurechloride in durchweg guten, fast quantitativen
Ausbeuten.
interessant. The new process allows the manufacture of the previously difficult
accessible dialkylphosphinic acid chlorides in consistently good, almost quantitative
Exploit. This makes this class of substances, which has not yet been worked on, for further implementations
Interesting.

g (1,3 Mol) Sulfurylchlorid, gelöst in 150 ccm Benzol, tropfen.
Ausbeute 140 g, entsprechend
96 °/a der Theorie. The phosphinic acid chlorides are said to be used as intermediates for the manufacture of pesticides and pharmaceutical products. The details of the claimed process emerge from the following examples: Example 1 175.5 g (1.3 mol) of sulfuryl chloride are added to a solution of 167 g (1.3 mol) of dimethylthionophosphinic acid chloride (boiling point 78 ° C.) in 250 cc of benzene at 30 to 35 ° C. with stirring and slight cooling. dissolved in 150 cc of benzene, drop. After the addition is complete, the reaction solution is decanted from the precipitated sulfur and the solvent is distilled off together with the thionyl chloride formed in vacuo. The residue (which is liquid in the boiling water bath) is decanted hot from the sulfur which has separated out again and crystallizes on cooling coarse, almost colorless needles with a melting point of 68 ° C. The substance is extremely sensitive to atmospheric moisture. Yield 140 g, corresponding to 96 ° / a of theory.

81 g (0,6 Mol) Sulfurylchlorid in 100 ccm Benzol getropft. Vom ausgefallenen Schwefel
umkristallisiert. Ausbeute 34 g, schwach gelbliche Kristalle vom Fp. 68°C, entsprechend
76 °/o der Theorie.Example 2 A solution of 81 g (0.6 mol ) Sulfuryl chloride added dropwise to 100 cc of benzene. The precipitated sulfur is decanted and the solvent is removed together with the thionyl chloride and sulfur dioxide formed in vacuo. To separate off the remaining sulfur, the crystalline residue is recrystallized from benzene petroleum ether with the exclusion of atmospheric moisture. Yield 34 g, pale yellowish crystals with a melting point of 68 ° C., corresponding to 76% of theory.
Beispiel 3
Man löst 48,4g (0,2 Mol) Bis-(diäthylthionophosphin) (Fp. 78°C) in 150 ccm Benzol

als praktisch farblose Flüssigkeit vom Kp."S 64°C. Ausbeute 860/, der Theorie.
Beispiel 4
