Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von alpha-Tocopherol aus einem nicht-alpha-Tocopherole enthaltenden Rohmaterial, bei dem man die im Rohmaterial enthaltenen Tocopherole in Tocopherylborate umwandelt, das so behandelte Rohmaterial erhitzt, um niedriger als die Tocopherylborate siedende Bestandteile des Rohmaterials abzudestillieren, den Rückstand einer Methylierung unterzieht, um die nicht-alpha-Tocopherylreste in alpha-Tocopherylreste umzuwandeln, und die Tocopherylborate einer Solvolyse zu alpha-Tocopherol unterzieht und die borhaltigen Solvolyseprodukte entfernt.
