Denn der Durchmesser oder die Dicke der in der Regel teilweise umspritzten Stanzteile im Bereich der Ummantelung ist größer als die Stanz- oder die Verformungstiefe an den Stanzteilen, weswegen auch in diesem Punkt der Stanzvorgang mit dem Spritzgußvorgang harmoniert. Ohnehin wird für den Stanzvorgang nur der letzte Teil des Arbeitsweges des beweglichen Schließteils des Spritzgußwerkzeugs zum Stanzen benutzt, wenn es sich um übliche Schnittwege handelt. So ist zweckmäßig der Stanzvorgang auf das letzte Viertel des Arbeitsweges beim Schließvorgang des Schließteils begrenzt. Der durch das Stanzen bedingte mechanische Widerstand kann zugleich zum Dämpfen der Bewegung des auf das feststehende Werkzeugteil eingesetzt werden, um somit der Massenträgheit des beweglichen Schließteils zu begegnen.
