Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer feuchtigkeitsdichten Verbindung zwischen den Enden zweier Kunststoffrohre, vorzugsweise der Mäntel von Fernwärmeleitungen, beschrieben, bei dem ein aufgeweitetes Muffenrohr aus Kunststoff auf die Enden der Kunststoffrohre geschoben, geschrumpft und mittels Heizelementen mit den Kunststoffrohren verschweißt wird, welches durch folgende Merkmale gekennzeichnet ist: DOLLAR A a) Aufschieben eines Muffenrohres auf das Ende eines der Kunststoffrohre, DOLLAR A b) Aufwickeln eines Heizelements aus je einem in einen Streifen aus Kunststoffolie eingebetteten mäanderförmig geformten Metalldraht auf die Kunststoffrohre mit zumindest einer Windung, DOLLAR A c) Einbringen je eines Thermofühlers in den Bereich des Heizelements, DOLLAR A d) Verschieben des Muffenrohres über die Verbindungsstelle und Schrumpfen des Muffenrohres zumindest an seinen Enden auf die Heizelemente und DOLLAR A e) Aufheizen der Metalldrähte durch elektrischen Strom und Verschweißen der Enden des Muffenrohres mit den Enden der Kunststoffrohre.

Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer feuchtigkeitsdichten Verbindung zwischen zwei Kunststoffrohren nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.
  • Aus der EP 1 087 171 A1 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Rohrmuffe aus Kunststoff bekannt, bei dem an der inneren Oberfläche der Rohrmuffe ein elektrisches Widerstandsheizelement aus einem mäanderförmig gebogenen Draht befestigt wird, die Rohrmuffe mit dem Widerstandsheizelement aufgeweitet wird und anschließend die Rohrmuffe im aufgeweiteten Zustand abgekühlt wird. Das Widerstandselement besteht aus einem Metalldraht, der in einem Kunststoffband eingebettet ist. Die bekannte Rohrmuffe wird bei der Herstellung einer Verbindung von Fernwärmeleitungen eingesetzt. Hierbei wird die aufgeweitete Rohrmuffe über das Ende eines der zu verbindenden Fernwärmeleitungsrohre geschoben. Nach dem Verbinden der Mediumrohre wird die Rohrmuffe über die Verbindungsstelle geschoben, durch Wärmezufuhr geschrumpft und durch Anlegen einer Spannung an die Metalldrähte mit den Mantelrohren der Fernwärmeleitungen verschweißt.
  • Nachteilig ist hierbei, daß beim Aufweiten der Rohrmuffe nicht sichergestellt werden kann, daß sich der Abstand zwischen den Mäanderwindungen gleichmäßig verändert. Bei ungleichem Abstand der Windungen ist die Wärmezufuhr an den Stellen eines größeren Abstandes geringer. Dies kann dazu führen, daß an diesen Stellen nur eine unzureichende Verschweißung der Rohrmuffe mit den Mantelrohren erreicht wird. Ein weiterer Nachteil besteht darin, daß unter den widrigen Baustellenbedingungen der Bereich der Widerstandselemente verschmutzt, was ebenfalls zu fehlerhaften Schweißverbindungen führen kann.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, das bekannte Verfahren dahingehend zu verbessern, daß der Abstand der einzelnen Mäanderwindungen mit Sicherheit konstant gehalten wird und dadurch an jeder Stelle des Umfangs eine gleich große Wärmemenge zugeführt wird und daß vermieden wird, daß Schmutz in den Bereich der Schweißnaht gelangen kann.
  • Diese Aufgabe wird durch die im Kennzeichen des Anspruchs 1 erfaßten Merkmale gelöst.
  • Weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen erfaßt.
  • Neben den sich aus der Aufgabenstellung direkt ergebenden Vorteile weist die Erfindung noch folgenden Vorteil auf, daß das Heizelement in Form von großen Längen, z. B. auf Vorratsrollen an der Baustelle anlieferbar ist und die benötigte Länge von der Vorratsrolle abnehmbar ist.
  • Die Erfindung ist anhand der in den Fig. 1 bis 4 schematisch dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiele näher erläutert.
  • In der Fig. 1 ist eine Ansicht eines Heizelementes 1 dargestellt, welches mit besonderem Vorteil bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren Verwendung findet.
  • Das Heizelement 1 besteht aus einem mäanderförmig geformten Metalldraht 2 vorzugsweise aus Kupfer, welcher in einem Folienstreifen 3 aus Kunststoff eingebettet ist. Der Folienstreifen 3 besteht aus dem gleichen Kunststoff wie die zu verbindenden Kunststoffrohre 4 und das Muffen rohr 5. Das Heizelement 1 kann in großen Längen in kontinuierlicher Arbeitsweise hergestellt und auf Vorratsspulen aufgewickelt werden.
  • Die Konfektionierung kann werksseitig oder an der Baustelle durchgeführt werden. Hierzu werden die Anschlußenden 6 des Metalldrahtes 2 rechtwinklig vom Heizelement 1 abgehend geformt.
  • Zwischen den beiden Enden des Heizelementes 1 wird ein Trägerfolienabschnitt 7 aus dem gleichen Kunststoff wie der Folienstreifen 3 an dem Folienstreifen 3 durch Schweißen befestigt. Der Trägerfolienabschnitt 7 trägt einen Thermofühler 8 der mit Verankerungselementen 9 an dem Trägerfolienabschnitt 7 befestigt ist. Der Thermofühler 8 ist zwischen zwei Mäanderwindungen des Metalldrahtes 2 angeordnet.
  • In der Fig. 2 ist eine Ansicht eines Endes des Kunststoffrohres 4 teilweise dargestellt. Nachdem das Muffenrohr 5 über eines der Kunststoffrohre 4 geschoben wurde, wird zunächst die Oberfläche des Kunststoffrohres 4 gereinigt und dann ein Heizelement 1 mit einer Windung auf das Kunststoffrohr 4 gewickelt. Das Heizelement 1 wird durch Wärmezufuhr von außen oder durch Anlegen einer Spannung an den Metalldraht 2 bis kurz unterhalb des Kristallitschmelzbereiches des Folienstreifens 3 erwärmt und dem Umfang des Kunststoffrohres 4 angepaßt.
  • Anschließend wird der Folienstreifen 3 durch örtliches Erwärmen auf eine Temperatur oberhalb des Kristallitschmelzbereiches an dem Kunststoffrohr 4 fixiert.
  • Mittels eines temperaturfesten, elektrisch nicht leitenden Abstandshalters 10, der ebenfalls auf dem Kunststoffrohr 4 befestigt wird, werden die Anschlußenden 6 des Metalldrahtes 2 in Abstand zueinander gehalten, wobei der Abstand der Anschlußenden 6 zueinander dem Abstand zweier Mäanderwindungen entspricht.
  • In der Fig. 3 ist der Zustand dargestellt, wenn auf beiden zu verbindenden Kunststoffrohren 4 die Heizelemente 1 und Thermofühler 8 an mindestens einem Ende wie vorgehend beschrieben fixiert sind.
  • Nun wird das Muffenrohr 5, welches ebenfalls aus dem gleichen Kunststoff wie die Kunststoffrohre 4 besteht, über die Verbindungsstelle geschoben, so daß beide Heizelemente 1 von dem Muffen rohr 5 überdeckt sind und die Anschlußenden 6 sowie die Enden des Thermofühlers 8 an beiden Enden des Muffenrohres 5 herausragen. Es versteht sich von selbst, daß die innere Oberfläche des Muffenrohres 5 zumindest an seinen Enden vorher gereinigt wird. Durch Zufuhr von Wärme von außen werden die Enden des aufgeweiteten Muffenrohres 5 geschrumpft und die Heizelemente 1 zwischen den Kunststoffrohren 4 und dem Muffenrohr 5 gekammert. Da das Muffenrohr 5 im unaufgeweiteten Zustand die gleichen Abmessungen hat wie das Kunststoffrohr 4 liegt das Muffenrohr 5 mit beiden Enden mit Vorspannung auf dem Kunststoffrohr 4 auf.
  • Nun werden die Anschlußenden 6 mit einer Spannungsquelle verbunden und die Thermofühler 8 an eine Meßapparatur angeschlossen. Spannungsquelle und Meßapparatur sind nicht näher dargestellt. Eine derartige Apparatur ist Gegenstand der offengelegten deutschen Patentanmeldung 37 02 912. Durch Anlegen einer Spannung an die Anschlußenden 6 der Heizelemente 1 werden die Folienstreifen 3 sowie die Grenzbereiche der Kunststoffrohre 4 sowie des Muffenrohres 5 geschmolzen und vermischen sich miteinander. Die Energiezufuhr wird dabei durch die von den Thermofühlern 8 gemessenen Werte geregelt.
  • Nach dem Schweißvorgang kann der zwischen dem Innenrohr 11 und dem Muffenrohr 5 verbleibende Zwischenraum 13 mit einem Schaumstoff ausgefüllt werden, der aus dem gleichen Werkstoff wie die zwischen dem Innenrohr 11 und dem Kunststoffrohr 4 bei Fernwärmeleitungen vorgesehene Isolierschicht 12, die üblicherweise aus Polyurethan besteht.
  • Fig. 4 zeigt die Verbindungsstelle vor dem Anschäumen des Zwischenraumes 13.
  • Die nach der Lehre der Erfindung hergestellte Verbindungsstelle ist gegen das Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit gesichert und ist so fest, daß Kräfte, die aufgrund von Temperaturänderungen und dadurch bedingten Schiebungen des Fernwärmeleitungsrohrs entstehen, aufgenommen werden können.

Claims (6)

1. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer feuchtigkeitsdichten Verbindung zwischen den Enden zweier Kunststoffrohre, vorzugsweise der Mäntel von Fernwärmeleitungen, bei dem ein aufgeweitetes Muffenrohr aus Kunststoff auf die Enden der Kunststoffrohre geschoben, geschrumpft und mittels Heizelementen mit den Kunststoffrohren verschweißt wird, gekennzeichnet durch folgende Merkmale:
a) Aufschieben eines Muffenrohres auf das Ende eines der Kunststoffrohre.
b) Aufwickeln eines Heizelements aus je einem in einen Streifen aus Kunststoffolie eingebetteten mäanderförmig geformten Metalldraht auf die Kunststoffrohre mit zumindest einer Windung.
c) Einbringen je eines Thermofühlers in den Bereich des Heizelementes.
d) Verschieben des Muffen roh res über die Verbindungsstelle und Schrumpfen des Muffenrohres zumindest an seinen Enden auf die Heizelemente und
e) Aufheizen der Metalldrähte durch elektrischen Strom und Verschweißen der Enden des Muffenrohres mit den Enden der Kunststoffrohre.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die den mäanderförmig geformten Draht aufnehmende Kunststoffolie nach dem Aufwickeln auf die Kunststoffrohre durch Erwärmen dehnbar gemacht und dem Umfang des jeweiligen Kunststoffrohres angepaßt wird.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß nach der Anpassung an den Umfang die Kunststoffolie an der Oberfläche der Kunststoffrohre fixiert wird.
4. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auf die Enden des Muffenrohres vor oder unmittelbar nach dem Beginn des Schweißens Spannelemente aufgespannt werden.
5. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Anschlußenden der Metalldrähte durch Abstandshalter in Abstand zueinander gehalten werden, wobei der Abstand der Anschlußenden zueinander dem Abstand der Mäanderwindungen entspricht.
6. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Abstandshalter für die Anschlußenden des Heizelementes auf dem Kunststoffrohr befestigt wird.
