From DE 42 31 731 A1 a fuel supply system is known, in which in a A check valve is arranged around a backward fuel line Flow of fuel from a supply device to a pump is prevented.

DE 195 27 134 A1 describes a fuel guiding device for internal combustion engines with a pressure valve with a check valve in a fuel line, which only opens, when a fuel pump builds up a predetermined pressure in the fuel line.

The invention has for its object a fuel supply of the above Type regarding the risk of leakage due to short-term overpressures improve.

Further features, advantages and advantageous configurations of the invention result from the dependent claims, as well as from the following description of the Invention with reference to the accompanying drawings. This shows one in the single figure schematic functional diagram of a preferred embodiment of a fuel supply according to the invention.

The preferred embodiment of a fuel supply for an internal combustion engine according to the invention, shown by way of example in the single figure, comprises a fuel tank 10 with a demand-controlled fuel pump 12 , a fuel line 14 which connects the fuel pump 12 to a high-pressure pump 16 with a quantity control valve, and a high-pressure rail 18 , which with corresponding High-pressure injection valves 20 of the internal combustion engine, which is otherwise not shown in detail, is in a fuel-conducting connection. A fuel filter 22 with a pressure sensor is arranged in the fuel line 14 . A tank vent 24 with AKF 26 is arranged on the fuel tank 10 . A leakage line 28 with a check valve 30 connects the high pressure pump 16 to the fuel pump 12 . At a downstream end, the high-pressure rail 18 is connected to a pressure relief valve 32 , which is connected to the fuel line 14 via a return line 34 downstream of the fuel filter 22 . A line 36 indicates which parts are arranged on a vehicle side 38 and which parts are arranged on an engine side 40 .

The fuel pump 12 is designed as a single-piston pump with a delivery rate of approximately 0.4 l / h to 40 l / h and delivery pressures of 1 bar to 6 bar. The fuel tank 10 , the fuel pump 12 , the fuel line 14 and the fuel filter 22 form a low pressure system of the fuel supply. The high pressure pump 16 , the high pressure rail 18 and the high pressure injection valves 20 form a high pressure system of the fuel supply. While the low-pressure system has both vehicle-side 38 and engine-side 40 components, the high-pressure system is arranged on the engine 40.

Kraftstoffleckagen besteht. According to the invention, a throttle check valve 42 is arranged in the fuel line 14 between the fuel pump 12 and the high pressure pump 16 in the low pressure system on the engine side, ie in the fuel inlet of the high pressure pump 16 . The throttle check valve 42 reduces pressure pulsations caused by the single-piston pump 12 in the low-pressure system. Pressure waves that propagate from the fuel pump 12 in the fuel line 14 in the direction of the high-pressure pump 16 are damped in this direction by a small opening cross section of the throttle check valve 42 . Exceeding the permissible system pressure due to such pressure pulsations is effectively avoided, so that there is little risk of fuel leaks. REFERENCE SIGN LIST 10 fuel tank
