A three-dimensional cleaning textile and a method for its production are generally known. The cleaning textile comprises a textile cleaning back with a front side and a back side, the front side being designed for cleaning a surface to be cleaned.

One method for producing a three-dimensional textile fabric is tufting, for example. Tufting is suitable for the production of loop or velor fabrics.

In addition, plush is known as a woven or knitted fabric, as well as corresponding methods of production. Plush is generally very soft to the touch. A characteristic feature is the upright soft pole, which can also have different heights with additional equipment. In principle, plush fabrics are very hard-wearing due to the pile that is firmly integrated into the base fabric.

In the case of knitted plush, an extra thread is tied into a conventional knitted fabric, which forms small loops on the surface.

Presentation of the invention

The invention is based on the object of showing a three-dimensional cleaning textile with a high / low structure that can be produced, for example, from the same fibers or yarns.

The cleaning textile should have consistently good usage properties, in particular a consistently good cleaning result, over a long period of use, and the cleaning textile should be simple, inexpensive and reliable to manufacture. The cleaning textile should be able to move over a surface to be cleaned with as little friction as possible, have good dirt absorption and good water absorption and / or water release.

This object is achieved according to the invention with the features of claims 1 and 14. The subclaims referring back to claim 1 refer to an advantageous embodiment of the cleaning textile, and the subclaims referring back to claim 14 refer to an advantageous development of the method.

To achieve the object, a three-dimensional cleaning textile is provided, comprising a textile cleaning back with a front and a back as well as at least one pile made of at least one pile yarn, which is inextricably connected to the cleaning back and protrudes above the front. The advantage here is that the cleaning textile claimed has a front side with different pile heights, which are adapted to the particular circumstances of the application. The cleaning back can, for example, have a homogeneous basic structure over which the pile, which consists of at least one pile yarn, protrudes in a raised manner. The high / low structure that the front side has and with which it is moved over a surface to be cleaned, the friction is reduced during the intended use of the cleaning textile and the dirt absorption is improved.

During the intended use of the cleaning textile, the pile yarns protruding above the front face relatively higher pressure loads than the cleaning back itself. Due to the comparatively greater surface pressure of the pile yarns, even stubborn dirt can be easily removed from the surface to be cleaned and then collected in the areas that are covered on the pile made of pile yarn - are less high.

The cleaning back can be formed by a fabric. It is particularly advantageous if the fabric is formed by a plush. A fabric made of plush has many advantages, especially when it is used as a cleaning textile. A plush fabric has a good and even water absorption and water release as well as a good cleaning performance because it effectively removes dirt from the surface to be cleaned. Plush has little friction when the cleaning textile is moved over the surface to be cleaned, can effectively absorb and hold small dirt particles and has good chemical resistance.

In comparison to this, a cleaning back made of a flat woven fabric would be less suitable for use as a cleaning textile because, for example, it has a lower cleaning performance. A flat woven fabric also has significantly poorer water absorption and water release.

The plush can comprise at least a first pile height and a second pile height, the second pile height being greater than the first pile height. If such a plush is used, it has already the front of the cleaning back has two different pile heights, through which the usage properties of the cleaning textile can be well adapted to the nature and / or soiling of the surface to be cleaned.

Additionally or alternatively, there is the possibility that the plush has areas of higher and lower density arranged adjacent to one another. According to another embodiment, the plush can be interrupted by plush areas.

The production of the cleaning textile according to the invention can be significantly simplified in that the plush is interrupted by more plush areas. Such a structure clearly shows the areas in which the pile yarns are to be connected to the cleaning spine.

According to an advantageous embodiment, it can be provided that only the areas of lower density or the plush areas are connected to the pile yarn. Such a configuration has the advantage that the material requirement is significantly reduced due to the areas of lower density or due to the more plush areas and the cleaning textile can thus be produced inexpensively.

It is also advantageous that the weight of the cleaning textile, based on a cleaning textile that does not have these areas, is lower due to the areas of lower density or due to the more plush areas.

After the intended use of cleaning textiles, they are usually washed in washing machines. With cleaning textiles with areas of lower density or with more plush areas, more of these cleaning textiles can be washed per wash load, which is of particular advantage in terms of reducing washing costs and protecting the environment.

The first and the second pile height can deviate from one another, but the difference in length between the two pile heights can only be comparatively small due to the manufacturing process.

Because the pile yarn is connected to the cleaning back, it is also possible to produce high and low structures with greater differences in pile height. There is also the possibility of creating high / low structures from the same fibers / yarns.

According to a first embodiment it can be provided that the pile yarn forms loop-shaped pile tufts on the front side. Loop-shaped tufts have the advantage that the sliding friction is reduced when the cleaning textile moves over the surface to be cleaned. This allows the user to clean quickly and economically. In addition, loop-shaped tufts pick up loose dirt, such as hair, particularly well.

According to a second embodiment, it can be provided that the pile yarn protrudes over the front side with a cut pile. The advantage here is that the use of such a cleaning textile results in particularly deep cleaning. This is important, for example, for the thorough cleaning of structured floors. In addition, corners and angular areas can be cleaned easily because the comparatively longer cut pile prevents the lower neighboring areas from being mechanically overstressed / destroyed. The non-loop-shaped cut pile, which is open at the top, also largely prevents the cleaning textile from getting caught in its surroundings during use and being damaged as a result.

The pile tufts or the cut pile have a third pile height which is higher than the second pile height. As already described above, the sliding friction is reduced when using the cleaning textile because the cleaning textile has a good dirt absorption capacity and is particularly well suited for ergonomic work due to its voluminous shape.

The pile yarn can penetrate the cleaning back between the front and the back and be connected to the cleaning back on the back by means of claws. The clawing ensures that the pile yarn is not undesirably pulled out of the cleaning spine even when the usual tensile loads act on the pile yarn when cleaning a surface to be cleaned.

The claws can be formed by a textile, knot-shaped interlocking of the pile yarn with the cleaning back. Such a knot-shaped interlocking of the pile yarn is produced during the manufacture of the cleaning textile.

The back and the claws can be permanently covered by a pile yarn retaining back. Such a pile yarn retaining back protects the pile yarns that cover the back of the cleaning back from mechanical overload.

According to a first embodiment, it can be provided that the pile yarn retaining back is formed by a coating by means of which the interlocking of the pile yarn with the cleaning back is additionally fixed. Such a coating can be formed, for example, by a rubber coating.

According to a second embodiment, the pile yarn retaining back can be formed by a separately produced protective fabric.

Such a protective fabric preferably has the size of the back, covers the back and the claws over the entire surface and is permanently connected to the cleaning back.

The protective fabric can for example consist of polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PES).

The protective fabric and the cleaning back are preferably sewn together. Such a sewing creates a permanent connection, the pile yarns are permanently held in their position in the cleaning spine, and the cleaning textile has, overall, consistently good usage properties over a long period of use.

The invention also relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional cleaning textile, the pile yarn being connected to the cleaning backing by tufting in a first method step.

Tufting itself is already known. It works on the principle of a sewing machine. Needles bring the pile yarn into the cleaning spine. Before the needles are withdrawn from the cleaning spine, the inserted pile yarn is held by grippers, so that the loop-shaped pile tufts are created on the front of the cleaning spine.

Depending on whether the pile yarn should form loop-shaped tufts or protrude over the front with a cut pile, the loops either remain unchanged or the loops are cut open by a knife, so that the cut pile described above is created.

In a second process step, the back and the claws can be coated with the coating.

However, if this additional fixation is not to be formed by a coating, but by a separately produced protective fabric, the protective fabric covers the rear side and the claws in the second process step. The protective fabric can preferably be sewn onto the back of the cleaning back.
