The invention relates to a package made from a blank made of cardboard as a flat package, box, tray or shell.

Such packaging is known primarily for meat and finished products. Fresh or deep-frozen foods are preferably packaged in this packaging in a modified atmosphere.

However, the consumption of plastic for such packaging is very high. The plastics used are difficult to recycle and, as a rule, are poorly biodegradable.

For this reason, efforts have already been made to replace this packaging for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) with cardboard packaging and cardboard composite packaging.

The cardboard packaging is often difficult to seal in a gastight manner.

In the case of composite packaging, cardboard inlays were already provided, which were able to support the walls and bottom surfaces of the packaging and thus enable the use of plastic film.

However, the plastic films used there are still very thick. The stability of the packaging leaves a lot to be desired. A separation of cardboard and plastic is difficult, if at all, possible.

The invention is therefore based on the object of proposing a packaging which is stable, the plastic content largely reduced and yet allows easy separation of plastic and cardboard without negatively affecting the tightness of the packaging.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that a plastic film is provided on one side of the packaging, which can be adapted to the shape of the packaging and / or can correspond to this.

This creates stable packaging that can be tightly closed by the plastic film.

It has proven to be very advantageous if the plastic film is designed as a plastic bag.

This creates a closed and gas-tight packaging, the mechanical stability of which is created by the cardboard box.

Furthermore, it has proven to be very advantageous if the plastic film adheres to the cardboard, that is, for example, is glued or sealed to the cardboard.

This creates sufficient cohesion and thus the desired stability.

According to the invention, it is also extremely advantageous if a grip tab is provided in the cardboard box and / or in the plastic film.

This allows the cardboard box and / or the plastic film to be gripped and pulled apart. In this way, the box and the plastic film can be separated from one another.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is particularly advantageous if the plastic film has at least two layers.

Another very advantageous development of the invention is also present when a stacking aid is provided on the carton blank.

Thanks to the stacking aid, the blanks are stacked in a defined manner and can also be very easily unstacked again. This is especially important if the cardboard blanks have already been erected or at least partially erected and are then to be processed further automatically.

It is important that the connection between the plastic film and the cardboard blank is sufficient so that the connection is not separated during normal use of the packaging, but a deliberate separation is still possible.

To open the packaging, which is usually used for the packaging of frozen food, ready meals, but also fresh food as an alternative to pure plastic packaging, primarily as MAP, the plastic and cardboard components must be separated from each other and then disposed of.
