Abstract

The invention relates to a steering wheel (1) for a motor vehicle with a steering wheel (2) and with wheel spokes (3a, 3b). The steering wheel (1) has at least one control unit which is arranged on a rear side of the steering wheel (1) facing away from the driver on one of the wheel spokes (3a, 3b). The control unit can be switched into at least two positions. According to the invention, the at least one control unit is a rocker switch (4a, 4b) which is directly switchably attached to the respective wheel spoke (3a, 3b). The invention also relates to the motor vehicle with the steering wheel (1) .

Description

The invention relates to a steering wheel for a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1 and a motor vehicle with the steering wheel.

A conventional steering wheel for a motor vehicle - such as from DE 7608905 U1 known - has a steering wheel and wheel spokes. Steering column levers are usually arranged on the rear of the steering wheel on the wheel spokes and are used, for example, for switching turn signals or a flashing light. Disadvantageously, steering column levers of this type have an increased space requirement, so that the steering wheel in the autonomous driving mode of the motor vehicle cannot simply be retracted into the console of the motor vehicle or moved away to the console of the motor vehicle.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide an improved or at least alternative embodiment for a steering wheel of the generic type in which the disadvantages described are overcome. The object of the invention is also to provide a corresponding motor vehicle.

According to the invention, these objects are achieved by the subject matter of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

A steering wheel is provided for a motor vehicle and comprises a steering wheel and wheel spokes. The steering wheel has at least one operating unit which is arranged on one of the wheel spokes on a rear side of the steering wheel facing away from the driver. The operating unit can be switched to at least two positions, which are appropriately assigned to a specific function of the motor vehicle. According to the invention, the at least one operating unit is a rocker switch, which is fastened to the respective wheel spoke in a switchable manner. The solution according to the invention makes the steering wheel very compact and the space required for the steering wheel in or on the console is reduced.

It can advantageously be provided that the at least one rocker switch is provided for switching a flashing light. This rocker switch is then arranged on a right wheel spoke of the steering wheel with the right hand of the driver. Alternatively or additionally, the at least one rocker switch can be provided for switching turn signals. This rocker switch can be arranged on a left wheel spoke of the steering wheel so that it can be actuated with the driver's left hand. It is understood that the steering wheel can have one of the shift paddles described above as well as both of these shift paddles.

Advantageously, the at least one rocker switch can be switched manually into the respective position by a movement transversely to the axis of rotation of the steering wheel and transversely to the longitudinal center axis of the associated wheel spoke. As a result, the at least one rocker switch is simplified and easy to switch. In particular, the switching of the at least one rocker switch is similar to a conventional switching of steering column stalks, so that the driving comfort of a new driver is not negatively influenced by relearning. The at least one rocker switch can advantageously not be visible from a front of the steering wheel facing the driver.

The invention also relates to a motor vehicle with the steering wheel described above and with a console. The steering wheel has two shift paddles on its back for switching a headlight flasher and switching turn signals. The rocker switch for switching the headlight flasher is attached to a right wheel spoke of the steering wheel and the rocker switch for switching turn signals is switchably attached to a left wheel spoke of the steering wheel. In an autonomous driving mode, the steering wheel can be retracted into the console of the motor vehicle, in which case a front of the steering wheel and a surface of the console lie in a common plane. In an autonomous driving mode, the steering wheel can alternatively be moved away from the console of the motor vehicle, in which case a rear of the steering wheel and a surface of the console lie in a common plane. The rear of the steering wheel is arranged facing away from the driver. The front of the steering wheel is arranged facing the driver.
