Description
The invention relates to a method for connecting at least two bodies. In addition, the invention relates to a component with at least two bodies which are connected to one another by a hardened casting compound. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a component according to the invention and a device for producing a component according to the invention.
It is known to connect wall parts, for example for a caravan, to one another by means of connectors. There is often the problem that tolerances cannot be compensated for or visible joints remain between the two bodies to be connected.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a method with which two bodies, in particular plate-like bodies, can be permanently and firmly connected to one another.
- a. Positioning the bodies to be connected to each other in such a way that a connection area to be filled with a potting compound is created,
- b. stationary fixing of the body in its relative position,
- c. Fill the connection area with a non-foaming potting compound.
According to the invention, the bodies to be connected can first be positioned relative to one another and then fixed in this position. This prevents the bodies from moving while the potting compound is being inserted. The potting compound can be introduced into the connection area at a pressure of <4 bar, in particular at a pressure in the range from 0.3 to 3.2 bar. As a result, it is not necessary to provide counter forms which are usually required when using increased pressure, in particular when injecting compound.
A material is preferably used as the potting compound which has fillers which prevent the potting compound from foaming. The potting compound, particularly in the hardened state, is preferably not open-pore and completely closed. The potting compound preferably has a density of 1,000 kg / m 3 . The hardened casting compound is preferably not brittle.
The casting compound can be introduced at a pressure of <4 bar, in particular at a pressure in the range from 0.3 to 3.2 bar.
A recess can be made in an edge area of at least one body, which is part of the connection area. A recess can extend into the end region of a body.
In order to enable a particularly good connection of two, in particular plate-like, bodies, it can be provided that the recess is designed with an undercut. The hardened casting compound is held particularly well on the body.
A through recess can be introduced as the recess. If a passage recess is introduced, it may be necessary to seal one side of a body, in particular an opening in the passage recess, while the casting compound is being filled in.
As the body to be joined, for example, wood panels, in particular solid wood panels, chipboard, plywood panels or OSB panels, come into question. A recess can be so introduced that it does not make up the entire height of a plate. Furthermore, it is conceivable to provide a lightweight construction panel, in particular a sandwich panel, as the body. In the case of a sandwich panel, a recess can, for example, be made in a cover layer and an intermediate layer underneath, while the bottom cover layer is retained. This creates a recess that is pot-like and can be filled with potting compound.
A composite surface can be produced on at least one body, which has an angle ≠ 90 ° to an extension plane of the body. For example, an oblique surface, similar to a miter, can be attached to an edge region of a plate-shaped body, so that two plate-like bodies can be connected to one another at an angle <180 °.
The manufacturing process can be automated if the thickness of the potting compound introduced or the fill level of the potting compound is measured in a recess and the supply of the potting compound is controlled as a function of the measurement. The thickness or the fill level of the potting compound can be measured, for example, optically, in particular using a laser, or electrically, for example inductively.
The hardened casting compound can be reworked, in particular ground. This can be necessary in particular if a recess is filled too high with potting compound or if the seal did not function reliably in a passage recess and some potting compound has escaped at one end of the passage recess.
A component with at least two bodies, which are connected to one another by a hardened casting compound, also falls within the scope of the invention, the hardened casting compound having a Shore hardness in the range 70-75, the component preferably being produced in a method according to the invention.
The hardened casting compound is therefore significantly harder than, for example, a silicone compound. Because the casting compound has such a high hardness in its hardened state, it can connect the two bodies to one another in such a way that they can no longer be moved relative to one another, as would be the case, for example, in the case of a connection with an adhesive or silicone. The hardened casting compound preferably has fillers which prevent foaming of the casting compound. The hardened casting compound is preferably not open-pore and in particular completely closed. It is also not brittle. This results in an aging-resistant, reliable connection between the two bodies.
In the component according to the invention, the bodies can be connected to one another without gaps. This can be done in particular by the fact that the casting compound shrinks slightly during curing and thereby pulls the two bodies towards one another, so that joints or gaps are avoided.
At least one of the bodies can have a recess which is filled with potting compound. This enables a reliable connection between the two bodies. The recess can be made, for example, by milling.
A particularly good and reliable connection of two bodies is obtained if the bodies each have a recess at opposite points which are filled with potting compound. The potting compound accordingly extends from the recess in one body to the recess in the other body. When the casting compound hardens and contracts slightly, it also pulls the two bodies together.
At least one of the bodies can be designed as a lightweight board. In particular, one of the bodies can be designed as a sandwich plate. Plywood, a honeycomb material, in particular made of aluminum or paper, styrofoam or XPS (extruded polystyrene hard foam) or fiberboard, for example, can be used as the intermediate layer of the sandwich panel. The intermediate layer preferably has a thickness greater than or equal to 3 mm, in particular a thickness in the range from 3 to 10 mm. The cover layers can have a thickness in the range of 0.5 mm or greater. HPL (High Pressure Laminate), CPL (Continuous Pressure Laminate) or plywood can be used as cover layers.
The term lightweight board does not necessarily mean that a lightweight board is completely flat or flat. For example, areas can be angled to one another. Even if there is talk of a section-like plate-shaped body, this can mean that a section of the body is flat or flat, but that another section is curved or angled to it.
Particular advantages result if the component according to the invention is used as a wall or cupboard element of a mobile home or caravan. The component according to the invention is particularly light, since it can be constructed from lightweight building boards. The light-weight panels can be particularly well and stably connected to one another by the hardened casting compound. In addition, the Potting compound can be used as a design element. In particular, the casting compound can be colored.
The scope of the invention also includes a device for producing a component according to the invention, with two suction plates, which are arranged at an angle of 0 α α 180 180 ° to one another, the suction plates being provided for the fixed fixing of one or more bodies. The bodies to be connected can thus initially be positioned relative to one another on the suction plates. A negative pressure can then be applied to the suction plates so that the bodies are attracted to the suction plates and their position is thereby fixed in place. The two bodies are thus immovably positioned relative to one another, so that they cannot move when the casting compound is poured in.
The suction plates can be connected in an edge area by a sealant. For example, the suction plates can be connected to one another in an edge region by a silicone layer. The sealant can in particular be made of a material that does not bond with the sealing compound. If necessary, provision can be made for further seals to be used in the region of the end faces or edges of the bodies to be connected, in order to prevent the casting compound from escaping at undesired points.
It can be provided that the angle between the suction plates is adjustable. Bodies, in particular plate-shaped bodies, can thus be connected to one another at different angles. It is advantageous here if the sealant, which is arranged between the suction plates, is flexible, so that it takes part in an angular adjustment of the suction plates relative to one another.
