Fastening elements for fastening a seat cover in a suspension channel of a seat structure are known from the prior art.

A fastening element serves for fastening a seat cover in a suspension channel of a seat structure. According to the invention, the fastening element has two clamping sections and a folding section arranged therebetween, wherein in a folded state an edge of the seat cover can be clamped between the clamping sections, in particular if the folded fastening element is arranged in the suspension channel of the seat structure.

With the fastening element according to the invention an edge of a seat cover in a simple manner in the suspension channel of the seat structure of a seat can be fastened. Preferably, the edge of the seat cover is fixed in the assembled state by clamping between the clamping portions.

An embodiment of the fastening element provides that at least surfaces of the clamping sections are gummed on the side facing the seat cover in the folded state. According to a further embodiment of the fastening element, a number of locking hooks is arranged on the side facing away from the seat cover in the folded state of at least one clamping section.
