Ausgangsseitig sind die Planetengetriebeanordnungen über je ein Achsantriebsritzel mit dem Achsantriebsrad verbunden, wobei hier jeweils entsprechende Sekundärübersetzungen realisiert sind. Das Achsantriebsrad kann auch als Summenrad bezeichnet werden und treibt vorzugsweise ein Querdifferential an. In dieser Konfiguration gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten, die Anzahl der Gangstufen und die Gangsprünge zu beeinflussen. Durch die Baugleichheit der Planetengetriebeanordnungen ist die Anzahl der unterschiedlichen Bauteile reduziert. Die Gangstufen der ersten Planetengetriebeanordnung und die Gangstufen der zweiten Planetengetriebeanordnung sind dadurch phasenverschoben. Es ist dabei denkbar, dass das Kraftfahrzeuggetriebe vierzehn, zehn, acht oder sechs Gangstufen, insbesondere vierzehn, zehn, acht oder sechs Vorwärtsgänge aufweist. Alternativ ist es denkbar, dass die Planetengetriebeanordnungen nicht baugleich ausgebildet sind. Zum Beispiel kann die eine Planetengetriebeanordnung drei Gangstufen und die andere Planetengetriebeanordnung fünf Gangstufen aufweisen, wodurch insgesamt ein Kraftfahrzeuggetriebe mit acht Gangstufen realisiert ist. So ist es zum Beispiel im Stand möglich, über die Verbrennungskraftmaschine die E-Maschine generatorisch zu betreiben, um den Energiespeicher, insbesondere eine Fahrbatterie, zu laden. Die Planetengetriebeanordnungen mit den entsprechenden Gangstufen sind in dieser Konfiguration vorzugsweise individuell auf die Leistungscharakteristik der jeweiligen Antriebsmaschine optimiert.
