Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a hair treatment device, in particular a hair straightener or hair crimper, which has two articulated device arms.

Hair treatment devices with two articulated device arms, such as hair straighteners or hair crimpers for smoothing or waves of hair are well known. In these conventional hair treatment devices, the individual components of the device are rigidly connected. As a result, the user has no way to influence the essential geometry of the device housing or the arrangement of the hair treatment surfaces of the device to each other. This is particularly disadvantageous in a non-parallel arrangement of the hair treatment surfaces, in the application of the device to thick hair strands, in the formation of already draped hair such as when heating a braided braid and when working with the hair on the back of the head.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an improved hair treatment device, which is characterized by a flexible and in particular direction-independent application with a simultaneously preferably optimal hair styling result.

This object is achieved by a hair treatment device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

According to the invention, a hair treatment device is provided which has a first device arm and a second device arm for treating hair. The device arms are connected to each other via a first joint and movable relative to each other. Between the arms of the device, the hair to be treated can be inserted. The first device arm has a second joint.

Advantageously, the second joint of the first device arm allows a user-specific customization, in particular relative to the second device arm. Any possible production-related non-parallelism between the two arms of the device can thus be advantageously compensated by the user. A disadvantageous non-parallelism between the arms of the device can occur in addition to production-related factors also by different materials in the device or due to the heating of individual parts of the device, which can disadvantageously form a delay in the device or the device arms. In addition, there is the risk in the conventional devices, the device arms are still aligned parallel to each other in the cold state of the device, while in the warm state of the device deviations from this parallelism occur. By means of the second joint according to the invention, this non-parallelism can be counteracted with advantage.

By the individual alignment of the arms of the device, which can be changed by the user as required, it is also possible to process thick and unevenly thick strands of hair with the hair treatment device and thereby to ensure the best possible styling result. Also already advantageously draped strands of hair such as a braid or snail-like hair curls can be heated by individually adjusting the arms to each other from all sides evenly and with the same pressure. Furthermore, the hair treatment on the back of the head is advantageously made easier for the user.

For example, a person uses different strands of hair or different people work with different strands thicknesses. For an optimal styling result, however, smoothing the same thickness of stings is necessary.

In addition, each user holds and operates the hair styling device in a different position in the hand, resulting in different leverage for closing the arms of the device. For example, some users work with both hands. In order to obtain an optimal styling result, however, it must be ensured that the arms of the device are closed with the same forces in each case, or that the device closes uniformly despite different forces applied.
