Abstract

The method involves positioning satellite-based wireless communication devices i.e. global positioning systems (GPS), at an end of a special track portion. Positional data is determined by the communication device. The determined position data is transmitted to a railway safety device, where exact actual expansion of the track portion is available in the railway safety device. Walking construction site is immediately announced to an operator of the railway safety device or a fully-automatic railway safety device, during position change. An independent claim is also included for a device for establishing, updating and monitoring special track portions.

Häufig ist es erforderlich, besondere Gleisabschnitte zu kennzeichnen. Üblicherweise werden die Enden derartiger Langsamfahrabschnitte manuell mit Tafeln an der Bahnstrecke gekennzeichnet und in elektronische Verzeichnisse oder Bücher für Langsamfahrabschnitte eingetragen. Bei Baustellen ist zusätzlich eine sogenannte Rottenwarnung zu installieren. Die übliche Positionsermittlung an den Enden der Langsamfahrabschnitte erfolgt anhand einer Streckenkilometrierung oder auch anhand von Abstandsermittlungen in der Nähe angeordneter Balisen und ist mit erheblichen Fehlern behaftet. Aus Sicherheitsgründen wird die Ausdehnung der Langsamfahrabschnitte deshalb sehr großzügig bemessen. Die resultierenden Einschränkungen für den Eisenbahnbetrieb sind häufig größer als notwendig. Dabei ist die Aktualisierung der Langsamfahrabschnitte, zum Beispiel bei Wanderbaustellen, besonders fehleranfällig, so dass die Diskrepanz zwischen gekennzeichneter und notwendiger Ausdehnung der Langsamfahrabschnitte noch größer wird. Dabei ist anzustreben, den regulären Eisenbahnverkehr auf den besonderen Gleisabschnitten, insbesondere Langsamfahrabschnitten, möglichst wenig zu beeinflussen und gleichzeitig die streckenseitige und die fahrzeugseitige Sicherheit aufrechtzuerhalten oder zu verbessern. Durch die satellitengestützte Kommunikationseinrichtung wird die exakt ermittelte Position per Funk automatisch an eine Eisenbahnsicherungseinrichtung übertragen, die beispielsweise eine Zugbeeinflussungseinrichtung mit den Daten des zu beachtenden besonderen Gleisabschnittes, insbesondere des Langsamfahrabschnittes, ansteuert. Bei der Eisenbahnsicherungseinrichtung kann es sich beispielsweise um ein Stellwerk, einen Bedienplatz oder ein RBC – Radio Block Center – eines ETCS – European Train Control System – handeln.
