Abstract

In general, as already mentioned above, it is provided to support the edge protection between an upper and a lower gripping element, that is to say a gripping element which is close to the pack and a gripper element remote from the pack. The edge protection is inserted with its underside in the lower receiving channel and with its top in the upper receiving channel. In order to facilitate the insertion, a distance greater than the height of the edge protector is provided between the upper and lower gripping elements, so that the edge protector is held between the gripping elements with vertical play.
