Abstract

The foldable container is formed mainly from vectorially arranged natural fiber composite panel according to International organization for Standardizationdimensions and standards. Wood is used for the manufacturing of the foldable container. The high degree of flexibility is reached by the use of different materials. The foldable container is disposed on a roll-on roll-off system and is equipped with a fold-out chassis.

Description

State of the art:

Containers according to ISO criteria are welded from shaped metal plates solely for stability. They can not be folded when empty. Since metals are good heat conductors, a great deal of energy is required in the case of refrigerated cargo. This can be described as a technology status of the 20th century.

The patent "laminates for the production of laminates" describes a process for producing high-strength non-metal plates, which are significantly lighter than metal plates. New applications include vehicle construction or container construction.
