Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for producing spiraled plastic threads.
From practice it is known to assemble plastic spirals to form a so-called spiral link belt. For this purpose, the plastic spirals are arranged like a zipper with adjacent spirals intermeshing. The overlapping winding arches form a channel. Through this channel plug wires are inserted. This will connect the spirals together.
Such spiral link belts are used in particular in the dryer section of high-speed paper machines.
From practice it is known to extrude the plastic threads in so-called monofilament systems. In practice, the plastic threads are wound up on coils after production in the monofilament systems. The bobbins with the plastic threads are often transported in practice over long distances in a production plant in which the spiraling of the plastic threads is performed. The plastic threads are hereby unwound from the bobbins according to the methods known from practice and fed to a spiraling machine. The bobbins are arranged, for example, in practice below the spiraling machine and are fed vertically upwards to the spiraling machine in order to ensure easier unwinding of the plastic threads from the bobbin.
The plastic threads consist for example of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) or PPS (polyphenylene sulfide). As already stated, the plastic threads are extruded on a monofilament system designed for this purpose and wound on spools at the end of production. Thereafter, the plastic threads are formed in a spiraling machine coil for coil to the corresponding spirals. The plastic threads are warmed up by suitable heating elements and brought into the spiral shape with the help of a mandrel. For this purpose, a processing temperature and mandrel must be selected for each thread type. The spirals thus obtained are then joined in the joining step to the fabrics described above.
This known from practice method has the disadvantage that on the one hand a complex transport of the coils must be done with the plastic threads to the spiraling machines. On the other hand, the plastic threads in the spiraling machine must be reheated so that the plastic threads can even be spiraled. Another disadvantage of the method known from practice is that relatively thick plastic threads can not be spiraled, since the threads for the spiralization process must be heated in order to be subsequently brought into the spiral shape. This process is no longer feasible from a certain diameter of the thread, since the thread is not fully heated during the heating time to the core and thus can not be produced machinable spirals. Moreover, in the spiralization processes known from the prior art, spirals often deform during storage time until they are processed so that they can no longer be processed.
The technical problem underlying the invention is to provide a method and a device with which the disadvantages mentioned do not occur.
The inventive device for the production of spiraled plastic threads is characterized in that the device has a monofilament for producing a plastic thread and at least one spiraling machine for forming a plastic thread into a spiral and that an uninterrupted supply of the plastic thread after exiting the monofilament system in the at least a spiraling machine is provided.
The method according to the invention, in which a plastic thread is produced in a monofilament system, is characterized in that the plastic thread produced in the monofilament system is fed without interruption to a spiraling machine arranged downstream of the monofilament system and is spirally wound there.
The method according to the invention and the device according to the invention have the advantage that the winding of the threads onto the bobbins, the transport of the bobbins and the unwinding of the threads from the individual bobbins are eliminated, in that the plastic threads are fed to the spiraling machine immediately after the monofilament installation. As a result, eliminates the steps of winding the threads on spools and the transport of the coils and when inserting the plastic threads of the coils in the spiraling the changing of the coils and constantly re-threading a new thread. As a result, the costs in the production process for spiraled plastic threads decrease considerably.
In addition, the method according to the invention and the device according to the invention have the decisive advantage that also plastic threads with a larger diameter can be spiraled, which was previously not possible. This is possible because the plastic threads, when leaving the monofilament system, do not cool completely and / or have not yet completely crystallized out. If these threads are immediately spiraled, they can easily be converted into the form of a workable spiral. A further advantage of the method according to the invention is that, in addition, the subsequent deformation of the threads is significantly reduced or completely suppressed by the processing of "warm" monofilaments.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, there is a synchronization of the exit speed of a plastic thread emerging from the monofilament system and an entry speed of the plastic thread entering the at least one spiraling machine. This makes it possible to perform the spiraling at the same speed as the production of the spiral threads takes place. The spiraling machines are advantageously able to process the plastic threads at the same speed as the monofilament system.
Since adjustments can be made to the spiraling machine as well as to the monofilament system during the respective production process and thus the synchronicity between monofilament systems and spiraling machines would be lost, the spiraling machine must be adapted to the requirements of a continuous plastic thread. As a basis for such a spiraling machine, both a modified winder (spiraling attachment instead of bobbins) and individual spiraling machines arranged next to one another can be used. Both options include technical prerequisites so that the spiraling can be done "online". These specifications include, inter alia, a threading aid with thread buffer and / or a starting winder as start-up aid, so that the continuously accumulating thread can be correctly introduced into the spiraling machine.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the process dancer-controlled runs to the initial speed of a last stretching unit of the monofilament system to prevent tearing of the thread.
Moreover, it is particularly advantageous to continue to perform a constant synchronization of Spiralisierungsgeschwindigkeit and Reckwerkgeschwindigkeit (system speed), so that the thread is not torn off, falls on the ground or pulled in length.
According to a further particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the quality of the spirals produced is monitored in such a way that an online monitoring of the spiral sizes is carried out.
The heating elements and mandrels of the spiraling machine are likewise adapted to the process.
The inventive method and the device according to the invention are not only suitable for round monofilaments, but also for the production of spirals of geometrically different monofilaments, for example with a quadrangular cross-section.
The plastic thread is guided according to the invention directly from the monofilament system in the spiraling machine.
The inventive method has the particular advantage that the plastic thread is fed and spiraled in the still heated by the monofilament system state of the spiraling machine. As already stated, this makes it possible to spiral plastic threads which have a larger diameter than hitherto. In addition, it has been shown that the post-deformation of the threads is significantly reduced or completely suppressed.
In order to ensure an optimum temperature during the spiraling of the plastic threads, it is possible to additionally heat the still "warm" plastic threads in the spiraling system or to keep them at a predetermined temperature.
