Eine dem Heizgerät zugeordnete Ansteueranordnung bildet im Allgemeinen eine Baueinheit mit dem Heizgerät und ist zusammen mit diesem in den Motorraum integriert. Um den Betrieb des Heizgeräts entsprechend den Wünschen eines Nutzers vorgeben zu können, ist eine Programmiereinheit vorgesehen, welche im Allgemeinen nachträglich im Bereich eines Armaturenbretts zu montieren ist. Über diese Programmiereinheit können Betriebsbefehle, wie z. B. die Startzeit des Verbrennungsbetriebs des Heizgeräts, eine Fahrzeuginnenraumsolltemperatur, eine geplante Nutzungsaufnahme des Fahrzeugs und dergleichen, eingegeben und dort auch für den späteren Betrieb gespeichert werden. Hierzu weist die Programmiereinheit im Allgemeinen ein LCD-Display sowie mehrere Tasten auf, um einerseits die gewünschten Betriebsbefehle eingeben zu können, andererseits diese auch visuell für einen Nutzer wiedergeben zu können. Die Datenverbindung zwischen der Programmiereinheit und der Ansteueranordnung erfolgt über eine Verbindungsleitung, welche an die Programmiereinheit einerseits und einen hierfür vorgesehenen Anschluss der Ansteueranordnung andererseits ausgebildet ist.When equipping vehicles with retrofit heating systems, an example, fuel-powered heater is generally integrated into the engine compartment. Vielmehr empfängt die Programmiereinheit die von einem Nutzer vorgegebenen Betriebsbefehle über eine erste Funkkommunikationseinheit, welche die Schnittstelle zwischen der Programmiereinheit einerseits und dem Nutzer andererseits darstellt. Da somit die Programmiereinheit selbst nicht mehr zur Eingabe von Betriebsbefehlen durch einen Nutzer zugänglich sein muss, kann sie an beliebiger Positionierung in einem Fahrzeug untergebracht werden, insbesondere derart, dass sie optisch nicht mehr wahrnehmbar ist.
