Abstract
Beschrieben wird ein Fahrgeschäft mit einer Fahrgastkabine die nach oben katapultiert wird, sich dann im freien Fall nach unten bewegt und vollautomatisch abgebremst wird. Es sind zwei oder mehrere Seile vorgesehen, die in einem nicht parallelen Winkel von einem hohen Objekt, nach unten, auseinander gespannt werden. Die Fahrgastkabine besitzt Seilrollen und wird von den Seilen entsprechend geführt. Die Seile werden über eine federnde Einrichtung vorgespannt. Bei der Abwärtsfahrt der Fahrgastkabine nehmen die Seile oberhalb der Fahrgastkabine eine parallele Position ein und unterhalb erhöht sich der Seilwinkel ständig. Dies bewirkt eine Straffung der Seile bei gleichzeitiger, steigender Abbremsung der Fahrgastkabine bis zum Stillstand (Selbsthemmung). Hintergrund: Es gibt heute sehr viele Einrichtungen die den freien Fall oder das Gefühl der Schwerelosigkeit ermöglichen. Dazu zählen u.a. das Bungee-Jumpen, das Fallschirmspringen, das Basejumpen, der Parabelflug, der Freefalltower, der Skyshot u.v.m. Jede dieser Möglichkeiten hat seine Vor- und Nachteile. Z.T. sind aufwendige maschinenbauliche Anlagen notwendig, oder es ist ein unverhältnismäßig hoher Energieverbrauch (Flugzeuge) in Kauf zu nehmen. Des Weiteren sind die meisten Anlagen sehr personalaufwendig, sowie gefährdet durch Wind und menschliches Versagen. Beim Basejumpen z.B. ist auch noch eine Ausbildung zum Fallschirmspringer Grundvoraussetzung, um den freien Fall von hohen Objekten zu ermöglichen.A ride is described with a passenger cabin that is catapulted upwards, then moves down in free fall and is braked fully automatically.
