Des weiteren ist zumindest eine Feder zum Vorspannen der Riegel in deren Schließrichtung vorgesehen, wodurch ein selbsttätiges Öffnen der Verriegelungseinrichtung und damit des Deckels verhindert werden soll. Durch ein Vorsehen unterschiedlich langer bzw. unterschiedlich ausgebildeter Riegel bei ansonsten gleichen Einzelkomponenten, ist ein modularer Aufbau der Verriegelungseinrichtung gegeben, so dass diese in unterschiedlichen Deckeln, das heißt beispielsweise in unterschiedlichen Fahrzeugen, leicht eingebaut werden kann. Durch die modulare Bauweise der Verriegelungseinrichtung kann somit eine große Zahl an Gleichteilen erreicht werden, was dazu beiträgt, die Lager- und Logistikkosten zu senken.
