Es ist sogar möglich, stets dasselbe Formteil einzusetzen und für den Fall, dass kein Kniegassack eingesetzt werden soll, ein zusätzliches Abdeckelement einzusetzen, welches die Austrittsöffnung des Gehäuses abdeckt. Ein solches Vorgehen wird um so leichter, als die Austrittsöffnung des Gehäuses bei der erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung des Gehäuses in einem Bereich liegen kann, welcher vom Insassen nicht gesehen wird, so dass ein zu großer Aufwand bezüglich sichtbarer Spalte und dergleichen vermieden werden kann.According to the invention, the housing is not on or in the instrument panel, but in a molded part, which adjoins the lower portion of the instrument panel.
