Abstract

In einer ersten Ausführungsform erfüllt eine Zündkerze die Beziehung: t >= 0,3 mm und St/Sw 7, wobei t die Distanz in axialer Richtung zwischen einer Stirnfläche (41a) einer Edelmetallspitze (41) und einem Verbindungsbereich (43) ist, St die Oberflächenfläche der Edelmetallspitze (41) und eines Verbindungsbereiches (43) zwischen der Edelmetallspitze (41) und dem Masseelektrodenkörper (4a) ist und Sw die Fläche des Verbindungsbereiches (43) zwischen dem Masseelektrodenkörper (4a) und der Edelmetallspitze (41) ist. In einer zweiten Ausführungsform erfüllt die Zündkerze die Beziehungen t >= 0,3 mm und La > Lb; und in einer dritten Ausführungsform erfüllt die Zündkerze die Beziehungen t > T und La > Lb, wobei T, La und Lb wie in der Beschreibung definiert sind. Die Beziehung t >= 0,3 mm ist spezifisch für die erste Ausführungsform, und die Beziehung St/Sw ist nur für die erste Ausführungsform spezifisch.
