Die bekannten Tragevorrichtungen sind infolgedessen ausnahmslos aus einem besonders dauerhaften und imprägnierten Gewebe hergestellt, besitzen meist ein starres Grundbrett, das als Unterlage für den Körper dient, und sind zudem mit Riemen oder Gurten verstehen, die dile Trage- und Aufhängeschlaufen halten. Die Verschnürung der Hülle erfolgt durchweg durch Gurte oder Riemen, geldgentli,ch werden auch zusätzlich teure Reißverschlüsse benutzt.
