Bei Gaskraftmaschinen, namentlich den Petroleummaschinen, wird bekanntlich durch
die Verbrennungsrückstände eine schnelle Verschmutzung des Cylinders und dadurch eine
Verringerung seines Volumens verursacht, so dafs die Leistung und der ruhige Gang der
Maschine dadurch beeinträchtigt wird. Dieser Uebelstand soll dadurch beseitigt werden, dafs
die Pleuelstange in ihrer Länge verändert wird, so dafs bei eintretender Verschmutzung deren
Länge verkleinert, mithin der Explosionsraum vergröfsert wird. Auf der Zeichnung stellt
Fig. ι diese Vorrichtung bei einer Petroleummaschine dar, Fig. 2 ist die Vorrichtung zur
Verstellung der Pleuelstangenlänge. Dieselbe besteht aus einer Mutterschnalle mit rechtem
und linkem Gewinde, in der die beiden Gewindeenden der aus zwei Theilen bestehenden
Pleuelstange eingeschraubt sind, so dafs eine Drehung der Schnalle eine Verschiebung des
